This item is supposed to fit my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. While it sits in place correctly and looks nice, it makes it nearly impossible to get the hazard lights to turn off as they get stuck on the plastic pieces provided. Poor quality. Would not buy again.

Perfect fit on my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. (Actually better than the Scoche) Textured like the original facia on the Toyota (the Scoche was not). Interestingly, when I removed the original Toyota (single DIN) facia, I noticed it was made by Metra

I just installed a double din stereo with this dash unit. Excellent fit and finish. The textured finish matched my dash exactly as the factory original. Great product..

Fits and matches well enough. The piece the deck mounts to is completely separate from the surrounding bezel, so it can be tricky and will likely take multiple tries to line them up exactly and not have a gap. Otherwise it is pretty sturdy for a Metra kit with plastic mounts, and the color and texture matches the dash very well.

The dash kit is good overall but the thing I really like is the final fit as well as the grippy texture of this plastic dash face rather than a cheap plastic feel of other products out there (or even the stock dash face that was removed).Glad that we found this black kit rather then the bright aluminum look for the TRD & SR5 models.

Muy buena calidad del material anteriormente habian comprado en otra pagina y me salio muy malo , no se compara en nada con este que se ensambla perfectamente y el material tiene una textura de mejor aspecto .

It was very easy install. The fit around its edges to the surrounding dashboard panels could be much better, but it's not very noticeable once you decide to live with it. I used the existing panel clips from the stock head unit instead of the panel clips which came with this kit; the fit was slightly better with the stock panel clips. Installation instructions were good.UPDATE 6/7/18: After over a year using it, I'm dropping the rating down from 4 to 3 stars. Because the fit is tight, the faceplate vibrates quit a bit and makes a lot of noise. Initially, I thought I would inevitably have problems with the plastic brackets that actually support the aftermarket receiver, but with some some shimming w/ cardboard, they have not been a problem. It's just the flimsy faceplate not snapping securely into the dash causing the problem. Not too noticeable with the music loud, but the vibrating of the faceplate drives me crazy on rough roads. The faceplate on this Metra kit engages on less mounting clip than the factory radio faceplate. The only other options are the Scosche Kit (which seems to have mixed reviews as well, and is similarly assembled) or the PAC BKTOYK972 (which is more expensive than either Scosche or Metra, but its faceplate engages all factory snap-fit holes). Or perhaps I will try to dampen the vibration with tape, grease, or silicon adhesive.

While installing my Pioneer AVIC-z130bt with a Metra 95-8214TB Double Din Dash Kit on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma, 2 of the retention clips would not stay seated correctly on the dash kit mount. When I pulled the unit out to reposition the mounting bracket these 2 clips fell off. I was curious why they would not stay on the bracket so I tried the 2 clips that worked; on all 4 spots of the brackets. Both of them worked; it was like 2 of the clips were not supposed to be for my kit but some how found there way into my kit rather than the correct ones. The second time that I pulled the head unit out (because I had accidentally pulled the mic out during installation) the white retention clips fell out and were lost. I purchased this through amazon so I will be giving a poor review until the clips are replaced with the correct clips for this unit. I will then be giving the unit 4 or 5 stars for the simple reason that the unit looks super clean when it is correctly positioned and finished. I used the original clips from the factory unit; however, they do not hold the dash kit in tight. Most people would not notice but it bothers me. The only thing I would say about installation is to be very careful of the silver paint to the right and left of the head unit during the installation. I chipped some paint when pulling the head unit in and out.I hope that this helps someone else.UPDATE: Dec. 31st - Received a response to my email. I have been told they will send replacement clips.UPDATE: Jan. 11th - After responding to the email I sent metra in which metra told me they would send me replacement clips I have received no additional information on tracking number or the clips from metra. I wish they would have ignored my email and not gotten my hopes up. I have emailed them again to see if they will send the clips. I was at first impressed with their customer service now I am not so much.UPDATE: Jan. 12th - I received a response to my follow up. They had been back up from the christmas-new year holidays and were going to ship them out to me. I have yet to receive the replacement clips and I have emailed them to find out what is the current status. The process is more time consuming and difficult than I wish it was. I will keep posting.Update: Jan. 22 - I checked the mail and my clips are in there! I hope they are the right ones. Thanks,John

This is an item I would normally get as part of a head unit purchase at Crutchfield, but since they were stocked out of the head unit I wanted I had to split the purchase. Saved a few bucks by doing that, but I still like the Crutchfield support. The dash kit was complete and worked well. I chose to go contrasting color with the black because most info on the Toyota Forums indicated that the texturing was a little different if you chose the stock dash color of silver. I'm glad it looks good. It fits tight, does not rattle. The plastic HU brackets are a little flimsy in my view, but the old OEM metal brackets would worked with the new kit so I used them. I installed this item on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma.
