Each year I select a destination for my Motorcycle Tour. This year (2025) I will be going to the Republic of Ireland.I always buy a Michelin map as they are ideal for planning my trip. They are really comprehensive and compliment my SatNav.

Une carte de qualité comme Michelin les fait toujours. La carte est doublée d'une protection en carton rigide, parfait pour résister dans le temps !

In Ireland, the GPS doesn't always do its job. This map got us through the country, even the smallest of roads! It is a must for any traveler who has trouble with roundabouts, too. Highly recommended.

There’s not always internet and there’s nothing like holding a paper map next to who ever is driving. We were taking a northern trip from Dublin then over Leitrim to the Donegal coast and northern coast to the Giant’s Causeway then along the coast to Belfast. My husband cut off the top part for this trip. It was helpful , accurate and useful to have.

Map was accurate to 2023 roads which allowed us to create routes off the beaten path when exploring Ireland.

I love the size of this thing! Yes, it's big, but like another person mentioned, it's not that hard to fold to the area you're going to be using for the day. - it will not take up your whole car. The map shows tons of roads, not just the main ones, and a lot of small towns not shown on other maps. We have it taped to our wall for planning right now, and will make good use of it on vacation. Would definitely buy this or any other Michelin map again. Go for it!

My wife and I spent 8 days driving around the west of Ireland and would have been lost without this map. Prior to our arrival I purchased an Ireland data base for my Garmin GPS, and brought this as my back up. Almost immediately the roles were reversed. The Garmin was next to useless. If it even found the destination, the routes it would select were absurd. It would take us off a good road and put us on a one lane road if it was technically a shorter route. The map clearly showed what category of road along your route. If you made a wrong turn, you could tell quickly. It was easy to plan the route before we left, and refer to it while we drove. I had read a couple of reviews before I bought this from people who complained it was to large to use in a car. Haven’t they heard of folding? Before we left each day we opened the map, and then carefully folded it to just the area we were driving. Who cares about Dublin when you are in Galway. For both planning and driving, this is a great map.

We purchased this map for a trip to Ireland in which we planned to rent a car and drive the countryside from Dublin to Dingle to Galway and back to Dublin. The good news is that the map is very detailed. The downside is that, unfolded, it is huge; too cumbersome to use while navigating in a car. We ended up purchasing the spiral-bound Michelin "Great Britain & Ireland Road Atlas". We used the large map to trace out our planned route then transferred that route to the individual pages of the road atlas. In the road atlas alone, it is kind of challenging to get the "big picture" so using the two resources in concert worked great.

Great detail but so large it is hard to open up fully and then to re-fold. Not very portable for taking on a trip but a great reference map to locate specific sites in Ireland from home.

Nice details on Map. Needed before trip in case difficult to find a good map locally without having to spend time searching/shopping. Be aware that the size is large at 1:400,000 scale = 4 Km to 1cm or 6.3mi to one inch. Paper is very thin and prone to tearing easily but can be folded to reference one area at a time while driving.
