These cloths are a great deal. They are a great material and get a the gunk off. There was hardly any lint left after!

I got these awhile back for my son to use whenever he is cleaning up his guns. He is quite meticulous when it comes to cleaning up his guns. He keeps them in pristine condition. As much as they tend to cost, I am glad that he does so. That being said, I thought these would be a nice addition to the stuff he uses for this. Unfortunately, he let me know rather quickly that they weren’t something he would get. Although they do a pretty good job for quick wiping, they aren’t that good for detailed cleaning. Yes, they are handy but just Not what he would purchase for cleaning his guns. I can tell you that these cloths arrived quickly & in good condition. I gave them a 3.5 score & I always round up.❤️🔥Shalom…

You get the cleaning and polishing cloths. The cleaning are in the black pouches, they have some kind of either solvent or silicon coating. Package states Do Not use on blued or finished surfaces, for stainless steel guns. The white polishing cloths are the micro fiber cloths.

So I received a package with six sealed envelopes. Three are the 'gray' model. They are simply nice, big microfiber clothes. It will do what a largre microfiber cloth will do. Because of its size it would be suitable for use in cleaning a firearm if you want to clean it with a microfiber cloth. However, the three 'black' models come sealed it their own plastic bag and are impregnated with some unknown material that leaves me wondering exactly what it is??? No where in the seller's description does it say exactly what this is! Is it a toxic substance? Who knows! Is it really safe to use on the things it says it can be used on? It's an oily, greasy substance that I immediately washed off my hands. I would not touch the 'black' clothes without gloves until I know exactly what is in/on these cloths.

I’m in the habit of cleaning my gun after every visit to the shooting range. It’s amazing how much buildup there is after firing only 50 rounds.I have the usual cleaning supplies—patch cloths, lubricating oil, Hoppe’s No. 9 solvent, a rod, brushes, cotton tip applicators—but I thought I’d give these gun cleaning cloths a try, too.I’m happy to report that these two types of cloths are a great addition to my cleaning supplies. One of them feels slightly damp when you take it out of its package. It worked great at removing the carbon buildup and burn marks. The other cloth (microfiber) was great for the final cleaning and polishing. The microfiber doesn’t scratch any surfaces and can also be used to clean eyeglasses and other delicate surfaces. All in all, very pleased with these cleaning cloths. Highly recommend!

Rather than use these cleaning clothes on a hunting rifle, I opted to use them on items that are routinely dirtied by carbon build-up due to combustion: briar tobacco smoking pipes. I own pipes that contain metal as well as wood, and cleaning smoking pipes is a never-ending chore for pipe smokers. I was curious to discover whether these clothes were appropriate for what is a pretty delicate task. I was cautious at first, using them on a pair of old pipes whose best smoking days were behind them. After cleaning their innards (you can't use them for inside jobs. We're still confined to using old-fashioned pipe cleaners), I cleaned the exteriors of both pipes, adding a small quantity of Murphy's oil soap to the light gray clothes, then cleaning the briar wood and metal bands. It removed the lion's share of carbon build-up and combustion residue. There was a surprising amount of both. I then lightly rubbed both pipes with the black clothes, which contain a mystery wax or oil. I was a bit worried about using something whose ingredients I don't know but it did no damage. Nevertheless, I'll stick to the gray microfiber clothes. They clean well and strike me as safe.

These are perfect size. Make cleaning, even the tight small spots , a breeze. They are absorbent and leave a streak free shine. Quality material too. They'll last a long time. They're good at what they do.

These are great to have in your overall gun cleaning 'toolbox'. Just know that they aren't a single solution for every step in the cleaning process. These really should be used for a couple steps in the process: external wipe down and external application of a light oil/lubricant coating. For those uses, they excel. The soft microfiber material ensures that they won't mar any types of firearm finishes. One pack of these even comes pre-lubricated with oil. I've enjoyed using these; recommended.
