Danik Hook Heavy Duty Stainless Steel
Our Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Danik Hook is the strongest hook we offer, able to lift up to 10,000 pounds under laboratory conditions. The Heavy Duty Stainless Steel hook adapts from 3/8" - 5/8" rope with the push of a lever and has a hook opening that accommodates up to 1 1/16″.

I was using the Danik mini-hook on a dock line for a small inflatable on my pier. I came back about an hour later and notice the tip of the composite hook had broken off. I am not sure what happened to make it break off. I called Denice in the Danik customer service. I sent her a photo that showed the broken tip and explained my situation. She was awesome! She apologized and said she would immediately send out a replacement. I received her package in three days. Much to my surprise, Denice also included an additional mini-hook (2) as well as a larger 3/8-7/16" 500lb adjustable hook!!!! WOW!Well done Danik!!!! You have earned a customer for life!PS- Made in America products !!!!!!!!

Used it as an anchor hook on our 18' Seadoo and it broke when we were hit with a wave at anchor. I wouldn't trust it for anything that might see any load on it. Stepping up to a metal hook.

I really like the concept and functionality of these hooks. Different docks different length's you need your Bumpers. These take the work out of having to re tie them.

I have the larger plastic danik hook and love it. I like the hooks ability to quickly adjust for length without tying knots. I use the larger hook for a small boat anchor line. So I bought the smaller hooks to secure items to my boat. I was disappointed to see that 3/8 thick 3 strand twisted nylon rope will not fit through the eye. 5/16 triple strand fits great. They should adjust the description to a smaller maximun diameter rope. I cant speak to longevity as I just got this.

I purchased these with the idea of hanging dock bumpers off my boat. First thing that I noticed is that when feeding a double braid line through the device the outer braid (cover) caught on the little retaining teeth (especially with a wet/swollen line). Not a big deal but I had to finagle the line in. Secondly the 5/8" hook opening was too small to fit around the safety line stanchions where I was planning to use these. My bad for not noting the opening size. The metal parts are slightly magnetic which may indicated a low quality stainless or coated steel was used. Overall a nice made in USA product, just didn't work for me.

I use these on the boat to adjust a line from boat to shore and a larger one on the Anchor line to the boat and a float for anchor line..It is super easy to adjust and has plenty of strength for what I use it for. Just be sure to get the correct size line and test it.Probably handy for other stuff you want to quickly adjust to a certain length.
