It did not work with my android phone. It would not connect to the wifi after pairing to bluetooth. I have android 14 which is above the required android 10.

This was the only adapter I could get to work, tried 2 others. It took 2 emails to the product support team and the failure to launch Android Auto was resolved. Ignore everything they suggest and go straight to the firmware update. Don't know why it wasn't shipped with current firmware to begin with. The translation software the support team used was on point and made communicating easy. Tip...during the firmware update process it tells you to find the WLAN settings on your phone which is really WiFi direct. This device does connect very fast with no noticable lag, spend the time to get it connected and you should be happy. I'm using OnePlus 13 and 2018 Audi A4.

My car, an Acura RDX, has wired Android Auto. I purchased this because hooking up my phone with a cable was a pain, so I bought this as a work around. After a month of use, I have had no issues. It has connected flawlessly and I have had no disconnects. It allows me to keep my phone in my pocket and connect. I disconnect this for days at a time, yet when I reconnect it, it recognizes my phone with no problem. I am very happy with this purchase.

It has a very nice interface, even before a successful connection with the phone. easy to connect. connects seamlessly each time. I recently changed from iPhone to Android, my wife still uses iphone. My previous USB connector was only for CarPlay. so decided to go for this one. needless to say ITS an AMazing product. Little bit pricy. if you feel product in your hand it doesn't feel premium. but works great.

Super excited about upgrading my car with this device it was very easy to install. It makes long trips now a little bit easier. Knowing that I can just use my phone right on my car. It stayed connected the entire time. Also with its sleep design, it fits very easy and it doesn't take up a lot of space. Great value for the money I spent definitely recommend to my friends.

This little dongal is awesome! It uses both Bluetooth and Wifi to connect and run Android Auto wirelessly. It does take some time to connect when you are first starting out but works like a charm and actually has better connection than my wired connection did. No more drops or loose connections to the USB port in my VW Tiguan. This is worth it for the convenience of just jumping in the car starting it up and Android Auto starts up in 30 to 60 seconds. If you are connected to Wifi or other Bluetooth it can cause it to not connect. Final statement, well worth the cost. The uncluttered dash and the premium connection make this outstanding. Note: do not disconnect the device from Android Auto, just turn off the car and when you come back it auto connects. If you disconnect it, then you have to go back thru the set up process of connecting Bluetooth and Wifi.

3.5 stars if I could. Can be pretty finicky at times. It doesn't like to work in cold weather. I have to unplug and replug it 25-50% of the time to get it to connect but hopefully just the weather. Also, SoundCloud will lag and not lower music volume at the right time when navigation direction prompts are announced. This may just be an issue with my car though. Using on an 18 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T.

Once I sorted out the infotainment system issues (time sync, android auto support), the device worked flawlessly. The pairing was easy, the device connects very quickly and reliably.One point to be aware of is that it gets pretty warm during operation - it's winter right now so it's not an issue, but come sommer it might become one. I'll update my review then, if there is anything to add.

I initially purchased another product like this, but it was only for iPhone, much bigger, and more expensive. Since we use both iPhone and Android phones, I decided to give CODONOVA a try and it worked flawlessly. It takes a lot less space, plugs stays put by directly plugging into the USB socket without any cables, does not overheat, and works with both types of phones. It also reconnects automatically on the next ride.

I was surprised that a cable was required to do either Android, auto or Apple carplay. This wireless adapter solves the problem as advertised.Instructions tell you to expect that the first connection will take longer. I think it actually connected and performed the necessary one-time setup within 30 seconds. After that, it connected straight away within just a few seconds. I was setting this up for my wife and it really had to be a reliable connection. Not something that's going to glitch out every once in awhile. So far so good.For a couple that uses the same car, you do have to do a switchover if you're going to be in the same car at once and you weren't the last phone to connect. There's no other way to indicate which phone should have the priority - that's asking a lot of a little wireless adapter. The easy solution for that is whoever's not going to be connected to the car, just turn off your phone's Bluetooth if your phone was the last phone to connect.But thats the odd case. Most people will have one dominant driver in the car and there won't be a need to switch the connection to a different phone.The convenience of not having to connect to a cable every time is well worth it, as well as avoiding any risk of damage through constantly plugging in and unplugging the USB port.

Ordered this for a 2016 Expedition with Sync 3 upgraded to allow Android Auto. AA works fine, when it stays connected. Any minor movement of the USB-C cable seemed to disconnect AA. This was tested on several different phones, with different Android versions. With the plethora of adapters on Amazon for wireless AA connectivity, I was hesitant to pick one. I liked the compact size of this one and relatively good reviews at the time. I've owned it for about a month, and as the title says, so far, so good.Be sure to connect using bluetooth. The adapter will automatically switch the connection to wifi, and your BT will then connect to your car. If you try to connect to the adapter with wifi manually, it won't work right.Phone WiFi --> AdapterPhone BT --> Car/stereoNo more disconnects! Well worth it.

I was very skeptical when purchasing if "wireless" android auto is actually feasible, and have been eyeing dongles like this for a little while and finally pulled the trigger on this one. It actually works very well, very easy to use as if the "cord" was still attached. Virtually no lag (atleast nothing noticeable). Theres no loss in sound quality. Finally, the wireless connection is very stable, you can step out of your vehicle and walk several feet away from your car, and thus for this dongle, and maintain a stable connection.
