Barrel adjuster diameter is too large, does not fit snuggly on shift cable housing or brake cable housing. Marketing description incorrect!

5 stars because only $10 for a pair. It works and does the job, but there is a design flaw that doesn't allow you to adjust the cable tension on the fly. Both sides spin freely so you need 2 hands one to hold the tension side of adjuster while the other hand twists the barrel. You'll need to spend 2 to 3 times to get adjusters that are one handed adjustable on the fly. I was able to do simple mods to get it to work how I wanted.

If you do a lot of riding, inline adjusters are really a must. Cables flex over time making brakes mushy and gears rattle. It's nice to be able to simply reach down and fix the problem mid ride with a quick twist instead of re-tensioning cables with a screwdriver at the brake or derailleur which invariably frays them after a few adjustments. As they will add length to your cable runs, it's best to add inline adjusters when recabling or building a new bike.

I am keeping for future use, but found the opening too large for shifter cable housing. Maybe work for brakes? Anyway, I also ordered similar product from SRAM and it works well enough. They do look good.Would be good if detail dimensions were shown -- of course I would not have ordered had I known.
