Need a 1 7/8 hole saw, which the big box stores dont carry. Or a 1 1/2 and a dremel.

Fine product but it definitely has a weak point in the design....be gentle when plugging in the extension cord

Use this for my boat's Minkota 3-battery tender. The male plug from the Minnkota is secured in this port, which has a waterproof cover. Then the female end of your 3-pronged extension cord plugs into the fixed male end plug that is secured to the port. This works great. Easy to install as long as you have access behind the installation spot.

Word of caution> Don't tighten the screws very tight because the plastic is cheap and breaks way 2 easy.. I actually give it (-1) star but no 1 would see it.... So I'll post it as 5 stars so my review can be seen....

It is a great addition to the boat as now I don’t have to leave the battery compartment open when I charge the batteries. My only issue is that the specified hole size is not common. I had to drill a 1 3-4” hole and use a dremel tool to enlarge it. Time will tell an the durability.

This is well made IMO. The male end of your extension cord slides in the back and is held rock-solid securely in position at the rear by a sturdy design. Very ingenious. So the prongs of your male end will be sticking through and available to whatever female end you plug into the port. I slathered a heavy coat of dielectric silicone grease on the backside where my male end mates up with the inside of the port and I am satisfied I have a very water resistant port that will endure. I installed on a white car low on its plastic bumper to have a port for engine and battery heaters; it blends or camouflages this white port on my white car perfectly. I assumed a 2" hole, fits sloppy, probably a 1 3/4" would have been correct. If you prefer black, I recommend the NOCO GCP1 (few bucks more).

Honestly I dont understand All the Negative Feedback. I read all the reviews AFTER I made the purchase & I immediately wished I hadn't because of all the neg reviews. I had 9min to order mine to get it in 2 days & I needed it quick to get it installed on my day off. I recieved it 2 days later & I was Very skeptical of the quality of it because of the Neg reviews. It was VERY easy to install. It took me MAYBE 30min & thats with drilling the hole. The quality is great. I can see where some of you "might" have some problems with the Charger Cord or Drop Cord not staying inside the Power Port but I used my Minn Kota 230pc charger Plug end. This port was designed to be used with the chargers plug in NOT your drop cord from Walmart. My Minn Kota 230pc charger plug end is larger than most of the drop cords laying around my garage. I installed my charger so the cord from the charger could reach the Power Port. It fit very snug. I tightened the holding screws tight but I didnt over tighten them. I didnt have too. I took my drop cord & plugged it into the Power Port over & over & over to test it to see if the chager end would fall in as some of the negative reviews stated & I had NO such problems. It didnt move at all. I do need to mention I did add 2 tie wraps around the Power Port NOT because it needed or because I felt it needed it but because one of the other negative reviewers on here stated it helped with his wanting to fall it.I have to say overall I have had Zero problems & it works great. I would buy again if I needed one for another charger. I will add photos as soon as I can take some
