For me, it came in one piece, and i tested it and it works fine. there is more grip on the ball then it seems to be in the picture. i got the size 4 ball, on the picture i wanted to show you how big it is. UPDATE i have played withed it for a week, constantly every day, and this is how it looks, i made a second photo. The grip has worn down aswell as the colors, but in my case, it looks cooler, and the grip was a little TOO much in the beggining
