  • Bass Guitar
  • NUTS

Play aggressive, shred or bend strings without worry! One of the key causes of tuning frustration is string binding at the nut. Black TUSQ XL, impregnated with PTFE, the slipperiest substance on earth, alleviates the binding grip the nut has on the strings. String simply glide back into tune!??How does it sound? With Black TUSQ XL you will hear more richness from every note you play. Engineered from the same material as our highly esteemed TUSQ, it has all the tonal benefits, bringing out the hidden harmonics by transferring your strings vibrations efficiently to the guitar. Black TUSQ XL is consistent from piece to piece, and within each piece, to offer you harmonically rich tones without the problems associated with natural materials. Measurements: Length – 39.47mm / 1.554" Width – 3.25mm / 0.128" Height – 4.75mm / 0.187" E to E – 31.06mm / 1.223" Note: All Graph Tech Nut and saddles are slightly long and wide to ensure extra room to achieve a perfect fit for your guitar. This extra material can easily be removed with fine grit sandpaper.

Es una gran pieza. La marca es de excelente calidad. En la foto no se distingue a primera vista que la base es curva. La sombra es engañosa. Pero el vendedor hizo el reembolso y pude solicitar la correcta. La recomiendo mucho!

After 3 weeks for the seller to finally ship it out, it finally came. I had to sand down the long ends just a bit to make it fit snugly into the nut slot and I had to sand the ends off about half a millimeter. It sanded down easily with some fine grit paper and I polished it with a fingernail polisher. It looks good but it doesn't feel as slippery as I thought it would. I had a GraphTech nut on a guitar I once had and I remember it being smoother more slippery than this one. This one just feels like plastic, quite honestly. The slots were a little more spaced out than my original nut and they aren't cut as deep with the exception of the G string, which is substantially wider and deeper than the rest, which isn't great. Cutting the rest with a file would make the string sit too low so I'll just have to deal with it. I don't really notice a difference in tone from the synthetic bone nut that my bass came with, if I'm being honest. Maybe the difference is less noticeable with bass than with a regular guitar. Overall it made a marginal, if not unnoticeable difference. In the end, it wasn't really worth worth upgrading.Little side note. A lot of reviewers are mentioning the picture shows a straight bottom and they received a curved bottom nut instead. They are wrong. The picture indeed shows a curved bottom nut. They're mistaking the shadow of the nut in the picture as a straight bottom.

永久潤滑とかマイクロ分子とかは結構怪しい気がしますが、滑りがいいのは間違いありませんし、加工性もいい。鉛筆の芯の部分を固めたような材質に見えますが、プラスチックなどとは明らかに音が変わります。

This nut came with a curved bottom, when in the picture it showed a flat bottom. No radius info in listing, and most JBs are 9.5". This is 7.5". Finally, it's listed as "xl" which, according to this company, means it should be larger in width and height than needed. It isn't. It barely high enough. Unsatisfied overall.

I’m mostly satisfied but take note of some slight issues. Firstly, it is not flat bottomed like the picture, and is radiused (which is what I needed anyway), as others have noted. The nut was about 2-3 mm too wide, which kinda put it somewhere between a Jazz and Precision bass, but closer to the jazz end of the spectrum. As such, the string spacing is off by a noticeable amount. I had 4 other jazz bass nuts to compare it to and it was by far the outlier. I fit it as centered as I could and filed down the edges after it was glued in place to eliminate the overhang on each side of the neck. I was worried because of the wider string spacing that the 1st and 4th string would be too close to the end of the fretboard but it plays just fine.

Sits very well in the neck and compliments my bass black hardware. It is shaped perfectly so I didn't need to file it at all.

Fitted perfectly in the existing slot. Just a little filing on the sides. Lots more sustain.

The size was not suitable for my Japanese Jazz Bazz copy that i love. Mine had a nut that is a bit too small for the neck but the string were still properly group in the center ( maybe a bit tighter than it should...but it feel right to me ). This one was a bit larger than the neck of my bass and the string were too much apart. my 1st and 4th string sit so much on the edge of the neck that they are easily bent out of the neck ( i know we never bent outward...but just to say how close from the edge they are ). i went back to my original nut .

Fit perfect on my stock Fender Jazz bass. The precut slots and height of the nut was just right and I only spent a few minutes with a round file on the E and A string slots to get the fit for my heavy gauge bass strings. The nut slipped right in the open space with no filing needed.

Great nut. Replaced the stock nut in my MIM Fender Standard Jazz Bass I bought in late 2014 and this was a perfect fit. I did widen the slots but only because I use a pretty heavy string gauge for a 4 string (Drop C with a .130 E string). Tone is great and I can tell a difference between this and the stock nut. Seems to hold tuning better also. Highly recommend!!

A lot of cheap basses come with a plastic nut that binds up when you try to tune and wears out after a few years of use. The Mighty Mite neck I bought for my jazz bass project came with one such nut. The Graphtech Tusq material is ultra hard to last forever and made with graphite for smooth tuning. Before you buy, measure the existing nut so you can buy the right size nut for your bass. You may need to file it down to fit.
