Very durable and grips well. It fit perfectly for my 2013 Prius and was relatively easy to use. It’s not plastic material, very heavy metal. It was a bit hard to remove but I may have over tightened it, possibly user error.

We were having some issues trying to get the oil filter off on our 2016 Toyota Prius, due to ridiculous overtightening by a chain oil change place we had previously taken it to. Like almost everything nowadays, paying for the convenience of someone else changing the oil is overpriced so we went back to doing it ourselves. We ended up using several sentence enhancers in the process of trying to get the oil filter off with our own oil change tools, but none of them worked. Ordered this little number and bam filter came off like a breeze! It's the perfect fit with the little notches on the side for a nice snug fit. Save yourself some swearing and tears and order this little number for an easier go of it.

My filter was over tightened by the dealer and I could not get it off. This tool worked great but I was worried it would break so I put a short adapter in the square drive and used the outside flats with a deep socket and put all of my umph into it and finally broke the filter adapter loose. Glad the tool held up and happy that I'll never have to do that again.

Lo compre para desatorar un filtro de aceite de un prius, atorado en agencia. Hizo la chamba pero, desde el primer uso, se le hicieron marcas de desgaste. Fue la primera vez, me desatoro la tapa del filtro sin romperlo, ya se pago solo, pero quedaron marcas de uso, que ni el truco de la hoja de papel pudo evitar. Ya no sera necesario apretar tanto en adelante, pero no creo que otra tapa apretada como la inicial, lo pueda soportar.A ver que tanto dura.Te saca del apuro, ya me doy por bien servido.

My Corolla has the reusable plastic canister that this wrench fits. Unfortunately, during removal, it was so tight that I broke the tabs on the plastic canister however this wrench/socket tool held up just fine.

I had faced a stuck housing before and fought the good fight. Ended up breaking the housing and ruined the other socket, but got the old one off.Bought a new metal housing for the oil filter and bought this new filter wrench, with high hopesWent out to change the filter and this just basically spins around the housing; won’t even catch the tabs enough to put any tension on it. It’s just too shallow.I’m not sure if it’s the aftermarket metal housing or this product, but it won’t work at all.
