Have you ever noticed that your strength on mono pockets is not good enough? Dreaming to send hard projects in Céüse, Margalef, Frankenjura or in any other climbing areas around the world with one-two finger pocket climbing? You need to get your fingers prepared! Pocket-sized Monik gives you many opportunities to train a single-finger grip. Monik is a unique training device, which can make your individual fingers significantly stronger. How to use Monik: Finger-lifting mode. Attach to Monik a preferable weight and start finger-lifting training for each individual finger! Pulling-up/dead-hanging mode. Attach Monik to any projection or ledge supporting your body weight and start crushing one-finger pull-ups or dead-hangs. As one-finger pull-ups or dead-hangs could be physically hard, you can use more than one Moniks together or combine it with the other training devices from RUSTAM CLIMBING: RainDrop, PlayMate, Jokko, etc.! Pulling-down mode. Attach a small pulley somewhere above your raised hand and run a cable (or a strong lace) into it. Connect Monik to the one end of the cable and attach a preferable weight to the opposite one. Start very effective one-finger pull-downs, which reproduces the real movements during climbing and works your forearms in a whole distance, from the fully raised hand to your wrist below your belt! -pulling mode. Climbing is not only in a vertical direction. Attach Monik to bungee (or to any pulley stretching band expander), anchor bungee wherever, in front of you, behind, from the side, etc., and start one-finger pulling Monik in any preferable space directions to reach the new level of your fingers and body strength!

I thought these were gonna be kinda small but nope. They fit pretty thicc fingers. I can see why they're carved so thick. It's so they can hold all that weight we're dragging. I prefer these over the Raindrops.

As a certified IFGMA mountain guide I wanted to have some handy power training tool that could be always carried with even in the mountains, for example on the keychain. By pure coincidence I already had Quadrock from Rustam Climbing – and I gained good experience with it. It’s really a nice training tool with good quality and perfectly suits even to take it with on a sport climbing day trip. Though, I found it being too bulky for my purposes (multiday staying in mountain huts during trekking trips, glacier tours, backcountry skiing etc.). Thereafter, I bought Monik and RainDrop and adjusted it with small biner to my keychain. The Monik and RainDrop have a good quality, well-finished surface and made from the hard wood; they are very light and have small cord attached to it. I have exceptionally thick fingers though the devices were OK ok even for me.I used Monik mostly for warm-up and RainDrop as a main training tool. I used it in four different ways. For finger training and warm-up: I put on the finger and pulled hold the biner with the other hand (useful for quick warm-up before climbing), I used rubber band and I used weight (mostly my backpack). If I had possibility to do pull-ups, I used Monik or RainDrop to increase load on one arm and train some kind of easy form of one arm pull-up – I pulled with one hand and had one of my fingers (depending on my actual form) in Monik or RainDrop. I also used both tools for rehabilitation purposes after small pulley injury for controlled load.Really strong guys in a gym used monik to show off and made a one handed one finger pull-ups on it.All in one, I would recommend Monik and RainDrop as handy, light and multifunctional training device that you can always carry with you on your trips.

Got them together with a fingerboard from the same company (playmate). The board is very light, so I didn’t use these much so far. Used a couple of times with a backpack as a weight and a small carabiner. But they are quite well made, and are also extremely light. Noticed that the logo on these looks quite stylish. The robe used is the same as the one on the playmate, and it seems fully suitable to this product (feels a bit too thin for the playmate).

Just my luck that these show up and it begins raining for three days straight. I also live in a humid climate. It wasn't 4 days before I could feel the texture of the wood begin to change. Will sand down and seal to avoid splintering. Had I not caught this I'd have been in for a very annoying splinter. The product itself is great in utility and one of my new favorite training tools.
