The Savage Axis Picatinny Rail Mount is a dedicated optic mounting platform built specifically for the Savage Axis/Axis II/ Edge rifles, allowing for precision mounting of your preferred optic.
The Picatinny rail section installs directly to the factory mounting holes in the Savage Axis via the included set screws. The rail sections are compatible with both Picatinny and Weaver based rings and optics.
7 inches or 16 rail slots in length, the rail allows for flexible placement of your optic for optimum eye relief and cheek weld. Crafted from lightweight 6061 grade aluminum.

Other brands (Shall rename nameless) did not work as advertised... Monstrum did! Easy install with just 4 screws and it came with multiple sizes and lengths of screws to ensure it worked the first time. Thank you Monstrum!

When ordering this rail, the screws that are provided may be a bit small or wrong for your rifle. That’s the only downside, but the company is good when it comes to providing the proper screws after you reach out. Before you do though, check and see if the screws off your old rail work with this one! Mine did and everything holds fantastically!

I ordered 2 of these for 2 be savage axis 2. I read in the comments that you needed different screws so I search the size and ordered them separately.. well my factory screws worked on mine and monstrum went above and sent 2 different sizes with the rail. Fit is perfect and great product.. their scope rings are also really good at half the price!!

Rail comes with the screws to fit both old style Savage and the new style. Another thing to mention is the hole closest to the barrel is not drilled or threaded deep enough to keep the screw from bottoming out in the hole before it gets tight on the rail. I just filed the lenght down. Just FYI, not meant to demean the quality of the rail.
