I changed the wheel bearing on my Subaru 3-months ago and everything is working well. The part was considerably less expense than I was quoted at my local dealership.

I got two of these hubs, first one made noise rite out of the box but had to put it on because the original was not usable, got a second one to replace it and again out of the box it makes a noise you can hear and feel, I’m not making that mistake twice, both ended up in the trash after I made a YouTube video of the disassembly and showing the bearing marks on a brand new hub that’s never been put on! Totally junk. I also emailed Moog chassis and I still haven’t heard from them, kind of disappointed, was gonna show my video of how junk the parts are!

Failed not long after being installed. Time wise about two months. Subaru Outback 2011 2.5. A hub bearing asembly should last much longer than that

Moog is a reputable bearing maker, but avoid this particular bearing hub assembly.Given a good experience with a different Moog bearing hub assembly for the driver’s side of my 2010 outback (still going strong 43k miles later — OEM bearing failed at 153k miles and currently have 196k on the car), I replaced the original rear passenger when it failed at 163k miles with this Moog. Then, when the rear driver’s side went at 172k miles, I replaced that one with this Moog too. A year later at 184k, the rear passenger bearing failed. Thinking it was a one-off dud, and being half the price of OEM, I replaced with this bearing again. Bring me to today and I just replaced both rear wheel bearings with OEM within a month of each other. Based on my experience, three of these bearings lasted a range of 10k-24k mile's where the OEMs got me to 150k without breaking a sweat. You’d think they’d be easier to replace with only a year going by, but not in the rust belt. While these bearings are less than half the price of OEM, they have cost more wasted time and effort and, at the going rate, I would have to buy and replace least 6 with failure every 25k to get close the original OEM bearings’ 150k performance on my car. Not to mention having to buy a new backing plate once because it got destroyed during removal and another time of buying a new rear axle because the bearing hub was rusted on solid and wouldn’t budge after a full weekend of trying kroil, heat, and various pullers (I ran out of time and needed my car that Monday, so it was easier just to pull out the axle and replace it despite being an extra $200).

It said was to fit my make of car, but sadly it was not the right one, SUGGEST CAUTION when buying parts online as some are not returnable.

Like a lot of Subaru Forester owners, I had a roaring noise coming from the drivers side rear of the car. Oh well, the Subaru wheel bearing has failed in less than 60,000 miles! After reading of other owners experiences along the same line, I find that if you buy a Subaru OEM bearing you can expect to replace it in a regular basis - it fails often and with consistency. All the reviews said to buy Moog if you want a premium bearing. So I did. Wow! The Moog is much better manufactured than the OEM - the bearings are more robust and better sealed. It took about an hour to R and R the OEM bearing with the Moog and quiet now driving down the road is great. If another bearing goes out (which it will), a Moog is going back in it's place.
