I was able to replace both the control arm bushings and top ball joint in one fairly easy step. Also avoided the hassle of re and re the ball joint. My control arm itself was not damaged but the extra cost of buying complete arm was not much more than ball joint and bushings combined.

I installed them anyway but I usually see Moog components built to the same standard or better then the oe parts I'm removing. Not the case with these upper control arms. Only the corners are reinforced, not the entire arm like the factory. I guess we'll see how they hold up!

The upper control arms I recieved were Made in America, which was a pleasant surprise because I half expected them to be made in another foreign country. I have the SLT Auto-Ride (Z55) suspension and the auto-ride sensor brackets and brake hose bracket bolted up no problem.Install was straight forward. 140 Ft Lb. torque on the control arm bolts, 37 Ft Lb torque on the ball joint. I love the cotter pin / castle nut on the ball joint instead of the nylon lock nut you find in other branded ball joints. Don't forget to add grease to the ball joints after install, then take to shop for front end alignment.Good quality product.

Purchasing the complete control arm is the way to go. Try to remove old ball joint can be difficult. This saves you from that headache and cuts the job time down considerably.

work good so far but boot on one of the balljoints was pre-torn so that sucks, put some glue on it and it seems to be holding lol

This control arm was for my 2004 Silverado, it was a direct fit, and easy to install.

So far, so good. These are the control arms with the problem solver ball joints. I installed these on my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500hd 4wd lly duramax, and they fit perfectly and feel great so far, with a few hundred miles on them. It's much cheaper to buy these control arms with the ball joints and bushings already installed, especially if you are going to be doing the install yourself like I did, it tremendously cuts down on labor. I would definitely recommend this to anybody, the CK part number is the better part, it's better than the RK part number.
