It's surprising how useful a deli slicer is in certain homes. It's not for everyone, but there are uses well outside of deli meats. I like them for slicing homemade bread. You get super even slices, and can go through a loaf in a few minutes. It's also handy for thinly slicing meats for hot pot.This particular one - not too bad, especially for the price. I've owned a few in the past, and this is actually on the higher end of quality. 200W puts it roughly on par with almost all home slicers. The commercial ones have a little more power, but that's not really necessary for most homes. One of the key attributes for a good slicer is the adjustment knob. This one has a good range of thickness with a pretty decent level of adjustment. It can go from extremely thick to almost shaved. There are some slicers that don't go thick enough for me for bread.It has some real fit and finish to this slicer, but that also comes with some negatives. The suction cup feet are a nice addition, except that I don't particularly want them, since I'm constantly putting mine away. For many people, those are a great addition, especially if you keep it in the same spot.One true negative I had comes from the design itself. The ramp after the blade is a bit too thick. Instead of the slice coming away cleanly, it sometimes sticks and starts to get squashed. That ramp should be a little sharper to prevent that.All in all, it's a pretty good slice for the money. The extra blade and cover are real niceties you don't always get. I've used it quite a bit already and am satisfied with the performance. Make sure to clean it well before first use. There's some grease or metal flake, I'm not sure what, that go on the first thing I cut.

It’s easy to clean. I will say it’s okay. I got this one for the hang out spot where our family entertains guests. It’s not as good as the one I have in my personal kitchen but it’s not bad also. It’s easy to use also. I love the cover to keep the dust off of it. It’s well built. A little slower than my other one but not enough for me to be annoyed. If this was my first one I would love it out of ignorance. Not saying I use them all the time but having another to compare it made it easier.

The metal parts are weak and bend which causes slices of meat to vary greatly in thickness. I am much more accurate slicing with a knife than with this machine
