Product Description

The Morley 20/20 Bad Horsie is a Pedalboard Friendly version of Morley’s Iconic Bad Horise Wah originally launched in the 90’s. It’s hands down one of the All-Time Great Wah Pedals and the latest 20/20 version provides that same cherished Tone used by countless professionals, but in a smaller housing that’s still comfortable to play. Morley's Switchless Activation is superior to traditional Wah pedal activation where the switch is under the treadle. Just step on the treadle to activate and step off to bypass. You also start at the lower more desirable end of the sweep and you don’t have to worry about hard to press switches or accidental bypassing while you’re playing. It’s 2 Wah Modes provide plenty to work with the Contour Mode allowing you to Adjust the Tone. Crank up the Contour to dial in a more classic vintage nasally Wah Tone or dial it back for a darker more subtle Tone. The 15 dB Level control works in both Modes and can be used as a Boost or dialed back for more subtleness. Another great feature is Morley’s premium buffer circuit that protects your tone from any mischief in your signal chain. LED Indication lets you know when it’s on or off and Morley’s Treadle Glow Technology keeps your treadle illuminated on dark stages so you know where your pedal is when you need it most. When you’re shopping for your next Wah or Volume pedal it’s a no brainer to Make it Morley.

I'm indifferent about this wah pedal. Not sure why everyone raves about it. Even Morley themselves recommended this to me as I was looking for a louder/thicker wah sound than what my Morley Skeleton wah has. This 2020 bad horsie is a little louder but also thinner sounding...so I'm confused on why this was recommended as my skeleton wah sounds better and thicker than this.

Great range of tone options, love being able to use to use it without an 'off/on' switch, nice size.

Morley makes the best wah pedals period. The voicing of the bad horsie is very much suited for my taste and needs. The pedal itself moves super smoothly as well as the sweep in frequency. When it comes to wah pedals, i won’t settle for anything other than a morley. My only complaint? They need to do a better job with the battery compartmet. I feel like i’m likely to break of one of those capacitors one with one wrong move.

This “2020” is no different than the old Bad Horsie. On and off sound is horrendous and it gets louder and more obnoxious the louder you run your amp. The buffer selling point is of no consequence what so ever. The contour is not only distracting and sounds terrible, but fundamentally unusable. The LEVEL and CONTOUR knobs are so close to the foot pedal itself that you need the feet of a 4yr old not to hit one or both while using the pedal. BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

Best wah I had tried. Mr Vai (and the engineers at Morley) has the right idea with this design. Love it.

I thought the optical switching would be a good thing but it didn't work for me. My main complaint was the very audible click when it turned on or off. This pedal turns off automatically after a certain period of non-use, which was hard to dial in. Too short a period and it was click-click-click as I used it. Too long, and it would click audibly in sections where it was no longer needed. It also defaults to a heel-down sound when not in use, but for me (and probably many others) one turns on a wah to grab the sound, not muffle it, so that was incompatible with how I use it. Finally, some guitarists like to leave their wah on in a static position for a specific tone, and that cannot be done with this pedal. I returned it and got something else.
