I was so skeptical. And my husband just laughed. But they really really do work! Wore one on each wrist and each ankle, no bites! Go outside for 5 minutes without one, got bit 3 times! Definitely going to be a staple in my luggage when traveling down south!

I went camping with a group of kids and used these to try to keep them bug bite-free. On a set of twins, the band seemed to work for one of them, while the other twin was bitten right under the band. Some of the kids were bitten on their legs and tried putting the bands on their ankles but were still bitten around their arms and heads. Perhaps if you used one on each appendage, it would work better. I would still use a spray bug repellent that you wear or apply to your clothes, but this might be worth a try if you can't use the spray or don't like the smell. I plan to take them on my next trip to a national park when I fly there, as I can carry these bracelets on the plane without worrying about exceeding the liquid limit. Overall, these were okay, but they might be useful in a pinch or under specific circumstances.

The citronella smell lasts on these four days. We just went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and all of the kids and adults. Use these on their wrists and ankles. They did expand and stretch very easily so we were having to double and triple wrap them based on the wrist size. we also use bug spray with it so I can’t speak to whether they were awesome all on their own or in conjunction with the spray either way we had very minimal issues with bugs
