Installed this 3 days ago due to leaking valve cover gasket. I had no issues with quality or fitment and my leak has stopped. There are 3 bolts that are not provided with the new valve cover. You need to re-use the old bolts. I feel like these could have been provided, saving a little trouble. The provided gasket appeared to be decent quality, I used a little ultra black to hold it in place during installation. So far, no leaks, smoke etc. will update if I find any issues.Update: 4 months in and no leaks or smoke. Excellent value compared to oemUpdate: 8 months and no issues. Great buyUpdate: 14 months and no issues. Save your money and buy this instead of oem

I purchased this 9 months ago and put 45k km (29k miles) on the car since then. It looks and functions just like OEM, no issues at all. Arrived very well packaged too.I was speptical about quality due to the price but after using it would recommend to anyone. I'd also recommend swapping the cover if your car has high miles rather than just doing the gasket since the PCV valve is probably due to be replaced and it's no fun doing the labor twice.

Bought this for my 2008 BMW 328i to remedy a leaky valve cover. This part cost $100 compared to $500 for the original factory version. Part fit correctly and took care of my issue and saved money. Even came with a basic installation instructions sheet. It's a pretty significant and diffucult task to install. I watched YouTube videos and did it myself. Saving probably $500 or $600 in labor from the dealership. Worth the effort for those with some basic mechanical skills. Probably saved $1000 buying this part and installing myself.

If you are looking to replaced your vcg, I would recommend just replacing the whole valve cover with this product. I tried to just do the vcg with the original vc, and it was a real pain to keep the gasket in place when wiggling in the vc.

I’m a BMW technician at a northeast location & I stand but the MOSTPLUS N52/N52k valve cover. I’ve been running this valve cover on my 07 3series for the past 20k miles & have absolutely no issues. Crank case pressures are spot on using a manometer. Everything fit like a glove obviously after preparing the bay & mating surface. Make sure you press the gasket down into the recess in the cover good so it doesn’t roll or get hung up on the back essentric shaft springs & cause leakage. No leaks for me at all after torquing in proper sequence at 10nm, starting with the three bolts in the middle. All in all this is in my opinion the most reliable aftermarket choice. I’ve also used this cover for a side job client & no issues with that cover as well.NOTE: THIS VALVE COVER FITS ALL N52 ENGINES. The only engine this won’t work on is the titanium N51 valve cover. Don’t go by the “make sure it fits” because it says it doesn’t fit my model year when the engine is exactly the same as the other engines it claims to fit. EXCELLENT PURCHASE

Perfect fit for my 2010 e70 X5 with the N52 3.0 L engine. My old one was leaking oil into the exhaust manifold and into the spar plug wells. When I took the old cover off the spark plug gaskets crumbled into tiny pieces they were so old and dried out. The cover was a pain in the rear to install. But it comes with the gaskets pre installed and all the bolts attached and ready to go. Next time I would put a little rtv gasket sealant here and there on it to make sure it stays seated while struggling to fit the new cover in place. Overall the cover seems of very high quality. So far no leaks and running well.

Exactly what I needed. Works perfectly. The gasket sits firm inside the valve cover, making it stay in place when installing. I would highly recommend this part.

Prior, I was getting oil leaks from the valve cover onto the engine exhaust. On start-up, the engine bay smoked horribly for a couple minutes. Previous owner had replaced the valve cover gasket without realizing a faulty PCV valve (built into the valve cover) is what caused the leak. New gasket worked for about 3-5 months, then blew out because the cause hadn't been addressed.Rather than paying $500 for a BMW branded valve cover, I bought this cover because of 1) reviews and 2) price. I did the work myself, took me about 8 hours because I broke the crankcase exhaust hose (hose that attaches to the back of the valve cover and cost about $40 from O'Reillys) and because I didn't have a 10mm deep well socket to remove the grounds. In doing the work, here are some tips. Where the hoses connect from the car's computer (passenger firewall) to the ignition coils, there's a plastic piece that holds the computer wires in place. It has 3 screws. Remove it. This will give you better access to the back left bolt on the valve cover and the necessary room to remove the cover. Also, you'll want to remove the 2 screws holding the coolant reservoir in place. The coolant hoses will block you from removing the valve cover. I also zip-tied the two hoses that run across the engine to the passenger windshield wiper to keep them out of the way.I'm an amateur mechanic and know quite a bit, but this was my first time replacing a valve cover. It is definitely a project able to be done in a home garage. I would suggest making sure you have: torque wrench, multiple socket wrenches, deep well sockets, a full range of normal sockets, all the corresponding torx sockets/bits, racketing wrenches, hex and torx allen wrenches, screwdrivers, tool extractors (minimum 18"), and a magnetic tool extractor.I would also go ahead and replace the crankcase exhaust hose because if it's an original part, it'll likely break when trying to get it off. You'll have to remove the air filter and MAF sensor from the manifold to be able to remove the manifold and access the connection points for the hose that are underneath the manifold. It's maybe another 25 minutes in work, but replacing a 10+ year old plastic hose is a good idea. When installing the cover, I added some Ultra Gray Silicone to the underside of the gasket to make sure it didn't move.Part was in great condition when it arrived, gasket fit nicely, and the part was a snug fit for the N52 engine. 5/5EDIT: ONE YEAR AFTER INSTALL - Still works perfectly. No smoking. No oil leaks. Fantastic product, definitely worth buying this for $100 than a BMW-branded one for $500.UPDATE: Sold the car 3 years later in October 2023. Valve cover and gasket were still holding strong. Great product!
