First off, I could not have done the deep disassembly of my KYB forks without this tool. Yes, it's a bit short when trying to deal with the cartridge while it's in the fork leg, but I used a slender punch that did the job of holding the top of the tool while I loosened/tightened the bottom bolt. So it will fit an Aprilia Tuareg but probably not with the supplied handle, the holes just peek out above the fork tube. For holding the cartridge once it's out of the fork leg, this tool was extremely useful. I was able to remove/replace the base valve and remove the mid valve for shim repairs and it worked perfectly. I see the price has gone up alot since I bought it but knowing what I know now, I'd still buy it. I'd consider it essential.

I guess I just have some long forks on my adventure, bike, Yamaha super tenere XTZ 1200, This tool wasn’t long enough to use with the included handle, I had to fab some thing up to make it work, but it did get the job done

The build quality is fine and the machined spanner ends are the correct dimensions but the tool overall is not long enough to clear some fork cartridges and use the rod provided with the tool. I machined out a 22mm socket to adapt the spanner end and "extend" the tool which wasn't a big deal

It still works great, but for a lot of bikes it is a little too short, it worked for my G310gs but the the t handle would only go through one side of the tool as the damper rod was too long for the tool and got in the way that being said it still works just being engaged in one side.

I have used an impact gun to take fork legs apart, but for my Yamaha Tenere 700 this toll was definitely needed, the cartridge bolts were pretty tight and needed the tool to hold them. Using this tool eliminated and chance of damaging threads as well.

Works perfect on 2006 Kawasaki KLX250S the fork is the same from 2006 - 2019 I used it to disassemble the forks for rebuild and to put Race Tech gold valves in.

2006 ZX10 - 43mm KYB forks. Tool fit fork cartridge perfectly for disassembly. Made of solid steel. Great buy for the money.
