While this carb will make your 300 run, it runs much too lean, no matter what jets I put in it. Float is set correctly too. Likely has a manufacturing defect. In addition, no matter what jet is in it, it leaks fuel into the intake manifold while it is not running. This is very bad as the gas will dilute the oil and cause major engine wear. In addition, the lean air to fuel mixture makes the engine run WAY too hot (exhaust manifold will glow red in some cases, this is very bad), valves and piston rings will burn up and the spark plug will be have a white, burnt color on the electrode.In summary, do not use this carb or any other aftermarket ones that are cheap. I highly recommend either rebuilding the original BST31 with an OEM Mikuni kit, or re-jet a genuine Mikuni VM32 and use it (best option).

Was wrong carburetor for my atv. Had to adjust a few thing in my end to get it to fit. And work. Shipping was good , and fast. I think things should get double checked before shipping.

Ive tried aftermarket carbs and they all end up in the trash. This WILL direct fit into a 2001 arctic cat 250. Comes with a bag of idle jets to adjust to your climate, the boots are good quality. The ignition components are exact match. You will have to pull the plastic off your existing choke and move the cable into the new one. Easy to do. Took 45 minutes to install all parts and the new carb and it fired right up. I dont like the gas inlet faces downward but seems to work. The only aftermarket kit ive ever ever bought that needed 0 modification and ran right out of the box. For the price i dont even care if it only lasts a season or two. Recommend this one if you have an arctic kitty, itll keep you going.

The fuel inlet is in the wrong position (which can be overcome with a longer fuel line), supplied fuel filter broke upon installation, no worries, the idle adjustment 'screw' is too short and mounted at a bad angle, but the worst part is the 'socket' for the throttle cable is the wrong size and will have to be drilled to accommodate throttle cable. Other than that... I'll make it work.
