Only one would lock onto my connecting rod the other is laying in the bottom of the door panel unable to use.

It appears these SHOULD work, but the locking tab does not latch all of the way in. This causes lock knob to get hung up inside the door panel once the door is locked. Tried both lock knobs on two different doors, all with the same result.I bought these because I was missing one one of my latching tabs on a factory lock knob. The pruchased latch tab latched in and works fine. Threw the rest in the trash...

Locking knob would not fasten to the threaded rod. Yes I pushed the locking catch all the way in. Locking knob attaching device is too big to fit the rod when the latch is closed properly. Thought about a piece of tape on the threaded rod but shouldn’t have to do that. Threaded a piece of black tubing on the rod and all works o.k. Ad said locking knobs would fit my make and model. Threw the locking knobs in the trash.
