I need to spend more time with this prism. I bought it to do some photography with. Haven't had the time to really experiment like I want to. The quality is excellent. It comes in a nice box to protect it.

Worked well but corners broke off violently after one tip over. Needed for a video so I'll have to buy a new one to have something better to record with.Like all prisms it won't work with a flashlight at close range as the light from a flashlight isn't Linear enough. You can fix that by moving the prism farther away from the light (About 10-20ft).This will remove most of the nonlinear light and produce a rainbow. A flashlight that can focus and is focused on the prism is recommended for this distance.Included pictures so others can see.

This is a great prism and you should just go ahead and get this one if you are hesitating like I was. I paid $9.99. One of the video reviewers said it cost her $7.00, but I never got that low of a price offer for any of the prisms. (I wish all of the reviewers told you what prices they paid.) I think I did what some others do and was looking at all the 6 inch prisms to try to figure out why they all vary in cost, and whether paying that extra four dollars for the #1 best seller ranked prism is worth it. This is high quality, beautifully beveled glass with edges not too sharp for kids. The box it comes in kept it from getting any scratches. It arrived promptly. It has the "Amazon's Choice" seal of approval. This is a perfectly fine choice that is high quality.

This product is so awesome! I got it for my boyfriend for Christmas as he is just starting out in photography and has been using it nonstop. He loves the different light glares and colors that are produced from this. It provided excellent and even lighting. We were both shocked how well it distributed the light. I bought this for my grandsons.. Each child loved seeing the beautiful prisms seen by looking toward the sun and also reflected on objects by letting the sun pass through the glass. It comes with a nice box to store it in. It needs supervision for little children expecially because it's glass and if dropped could be dangerous if broken. I bought each a book about how rainbows are formed and the order of the colors produced.

The prism is of substantial size and weight; it feels good in the hand. It appears to be of quality materials and highly transparent. The prismatic effects are excellent. I bought this as a learning tool for my grandson and it has been very effective. Also, he really likes it.

I could not be any happier with this prism! I can't get over how fantastic the quality of this prism is. Makes for the most beautiful photos when held close to the lens! If you are looking to get a prism but don't want to spend too much this is the one to get... honestly I would not be able to tell any difference whatsoever between this one and one that is $20, might as well save yourself some money since it is the exact same product! My only I don't like is the presentation, it came in a box (which was another awesome part) but inside is this very cheap fabric wrapped around some Styrofoam to hold it in place. It's not that I am bothered by that (because this product is already so inexpensive I shouldn't complain) but the fabric on the Styrofoam made me less hypes about it because it looks extremely cheap. The product itself is absolutely fantastic through and I recommend this prism to everyone!

If you are looking for a prism for photography, I'd reccomend this. It is seems to be exactly the same as the more expensive prisms (based on other product review photos). It works exactly like you'd expect. This is pretty much exactly the same as other prisms, but cheaper in price. I would defininately reccomend to save a few bucks. Overall, the order met expectations and it came in perfect condition. However, this does work better at producing reflections rather than rainbows in photos.
