I've put off getting a belt for my vintage 1982 Troybilt Horse. When I'd go to any local repair shop, I'd be told that I needed the serial number of the tiller. Had no idea where to look. So... enter Google! Didn't take long to find it and then knowing what parts to order. The new belt works wonders. I can till again with one hand, with power that I've missed for years. My garden is ready to go again! Tilled deeper than it's been for a long time.

You'll find belts out there that match this one in size, but they do NOT match this one in rip-snortin', engine-huffin', ground-bustin', clod-churnin' {{POWER}}Make no mistake, this is a pricey piece of rubber? But it's not just rubber. There's a LOT of reinforcement inside this belt, and it is not meant to stretch, at all.

My Troy Built tiller would not stay in gear even after adjusting the tension block. The belt that was on it looked good still and had no signs of cracking. I got the number off the belt and ordered a new one and found the old belt had stretched approximately 1/2” too long compared to the new one so it made it pop out of gear. With the new belt I readjusted the tension and now works perfect. Try a new belt if you have this problem.

The original 25 year old belt had no problems. This one is difficult to adjust and kicks out of drive. Tried adjusting forever as manual instructs but no luck. Gonna put the original back on as it worked perfectly and never once kicked out of drive. The original is 35 years old and never missed a beat.
