To Maximize Effectiveness

1. Apply in Good Weather: Ambient temperature should remain above 68°F, and humidity below 60% for 48 hours before and after application, with no exposure to rain. Since it's water-based, rain can dilute the glue, weakening the bond strength.
2. Clean & Dry Base: Before applying the mulch glue, ensure the mulch or stone is dry, clean, and free from moisture, mud, oil, or dust. Use it on a well-draining and compacted base, as contaminants can weaken the bond between the stones.
3. Shake Before Use: Shake the liquid well before use to ensure its uniformity and prevent nozzle clogging. Spray continuously or inintervals of no more than 5 minutes to prevent nozzle blockage especially on hot days.
4. For a More Robust Finish: Apply 2 or 3 thin coats of mulch glue for the strongest finish, allowing the first coat to dry for 24 hours or until fully dry before applying the next. A thick layer may result in improper curing, causing white/blue residue.
5. Long-Lasting Effect: Mulch glue typically lasts one year. It's recommended to reapply after winter for added reinforcement. Use within 6 months of opening. It may turn white when exposed to rain but will return to transparency when dry.

Commonly problems you may encounter:

  • Why isn't the mulch glue working well?

First, apply the mulch glue in warm (above 68℉) and dry (humidity below 70%) weather conditions for a continuous period of 3 days, avoiding its use in rainy or high humidity conditions. Second, ensure that the base material is dry, clean, and devoid of moisture, mud, oil, or dust. Finally, apply 2 or 3 thin coats of mulch glue for the strongest finish, allowing the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the next.

  • How can I prevent the mulch glue from clogging my sprayer?

Shake well before use to ensure uniformity. Clean the equipment promptly after use to prevent nozzle clogging. During application, spray continuously, or intermittently for no more than 5 minutes at a time, especially on hot days, to avoid nozzle blockage. If the ambient temperature exceeds 77°F, drying may accelerate. In such cases, dilute with approximately 10% more water to prevent clogging.

  • White/blue residue after drying?

Our mulch glue initially appears light blue when sprayed due to light reflection, but it becomes clear after drying. Also, applying the glue too thickly at once may cause improper curing, leading to an opaque color and white/blue residue. We recommend applying multiple thin coats instead. More, extended exposure to standing water from rainfall can also lead to the formation of white residue. Applying the glue in warm, dry weather may resolve it.

  • How long does the bonding effect of mulch glues last?

Our mulch spray glue typically lasts for about 12 months before requiring reapplication, although this timeframe may vary depending on the climate and other factors. It's recommended to reapply it to your garden after the winter season to provide additional reinforcement.

  • Does it work for rubber mulch?

Sure, this mulch glue works for all types of mulch. Before use, please ensure that the rubber mulch is dry, clean, and free from moisture, mud, oil, or dust. Finally, apply 2 or 3 thin coats of mulch glue for the strongest finish, allowing the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the next.

I love this mulch glue!It makes is so easy to keep my landscape material in place and not allow it to blow all over when I'm mowing nearby, or if there are high winds. It also makes it superb for leaf removal -- the ground cover stays put!So awesome

This mulch glue is a game changer! It keeps mulch in place and makes landscaping so much easier. It's very simple to use. Mix approximately 1 part glue to 2 parts water and put into sprayer. Shake gently and spray a thin coat over mulched beds. Allow to dry overnight then add a 2nd coat. My husband tested the effectiveness with a yard blower. The mulch stayed in place even with the wind velocity!

I was a little skeptical of this glue, but I am convinced that this is as good as advertised. The glue helps keep rocks or mulch from moving where you need it. Applicaiton is easy with a spray pump, or you can pour it on. I had some rocks that would move in all directions, and this seems to help a lot. It does take an ample amount to cover a wide area.

You need a lot of it to achieve your goal. This little bottle is not going to do much to mulch. You need a penetration of at least 1" for mulch to hold up. Otherwise you are wasting your time. I was only able to cover 3x3' area 1" deep of mulch. Any thinner, it falls apart. I have not tried it on rocks

This was my first time using mulch glue. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how well this would work. The Teexpert did a great job at keeping my mulch together. From the start I learned I needed to use whole jug of mulch glue and less water than I expected. It needs to be diluted to 50% water or less. I used a 1 gal pump sprayer to apply the glue on the edges of my flower beds and then to a small flower bed prone to water erosion. I only applied 1-2 coats. The Teexpert recommends that you apply 3 coats. Despite that, the 2 coats still did agreat job. 48 hours after application a rain and wind storm come through. The volume of rain was exceptionally high so I was expecting some serious erosion of my mulch beds. To my sock, the mulch glue held the mulch back with practically zero issues. I only saw one small spot with some mulch movement. Otherwise nothing moved. I also got lazy and didn’t plan one of my downspouts correctly and had it pouring out water at the edge of my mulch bed. Even all that water draining on this patch of mulch did not cause the mulch to erode I truly believe it was due to the Teexpert glue. The other thing that I liked was the glue went down with a viscus blue hue that quickly turned clear once dried. I was able to see where I had applied then it disappeared and didn’t leave any residue that was unsightly. None one can tell I apples a product to the beds.Last thing to do, if you use the mulch glue. Make sure you clean out the applicator after use. I flushed my sprayer 3 times to ensure it wouldn’t gum up for future projects.11/10. Super pleased with this project and its results.

even though it was more like 40 hours after applying before it rained, the stones I applied this to are still holding, and I only got to apply one coat -- the stones I am applying this Mulch Glue to are on a walkway from the front to the back of my house -- I only did a test area about 4' x 6' -- I over did it and used both bottles which was too much for the first coat -- the stones initially turned blue which is a sign of overapplying -- I am not sure what would have happened if it didn't rain -- I was not home and didn't cover the stones so my bad -- I am aware that this product isn't for areas to be walked on but I am going for it anyway -- my mower has a hard time plowing through the Pea Gravel -- I'm not aware of another solution that would still allow the stone to look nice -- easy to apply with the included spray nozzles -- I tried to clean the nozzles but did not get very good results (just a hose and bucket) -- I do not have a slop sink -- with such a large area I am going to need a lot of this glue and hope to master the application rate quickly and also maybe let whatever I use to apply this with (I plan to use a small 1 quart pump sprayer) soak in the bucket with hot water much longer than I did this time -- I see no reason not to order this brand from this seller again -- I will just have to pace myself because this is going to cost a lotEdit: the stones are no longer blue -- I have had hard rains several days after applying -- none of the stones are stuck together anymore, but they are a much more classy color -- a little like staining the stone -- I am happy with the darker translucent look of the stone -- I will try another test area when the weather turns dry and update if I get better results using this product improperly -- If they don't stick I will still be happy with the new look

Teexpert Mulch Glue for Landscaping 30.8OZ,We laid rubber mulch down in our front flower beds, but there is a section that likes to float away when it rains. I got this to try to hold that mulch in place, and applied it over the weekend. We had a lot of rain the past 24 hours and the mulch is right where it should be, so I would say this stuff works well. I will probably pick up some more to do the rest of my beds.
