Every circuit design responds different to tube rolling. Gives me big cleans in a '78 Fender amp. Big difference in some stand alone preamps too.

Carefully packed tubes arrived in perfect condition. Installed in my Marshall, they are nice upgrade from the very old 12ax7 pre-amps that came out. Sound GREAT!

Russian reproduction of the Mullard tube. Test excellent and are fairly quiet, low noise and minimal micrphonics in a high gain socket. These long plates tubes seem the best short of NOS.

If you thinking to replace your tube amps DO IT WITH THE MULLARDS. I was skeptical that it would make a difference but I was wrong. I have a Rivera amp and now you can hear all the subtleties you wantedOnly one Negative - the printing on the tubes are not consistent. Therefore you can’t line up the pins based upon where the logo sits. If they would correct this it would make installation much easier

Real smooth. These are a lot like the softech 12 ax 7 LP Long plate. In fact they are identical. Possibly even from the same manufacturer. They are both comparably priced. The Mallards maybe just a little creamier

Got JJ's first just to see how they would sound, a bit too harsh for me. I play blues, so I like a smooth sounding tube. These tubes work great. I am a picky player, so If my amp doesn't sound right to my ears, I can't use it. These were just right. Plenty of high, but not ear piercing, and plenty of bottom end. When you can plug straight into an amp and not use a pedal, it shows how good these tubes sound. I could probably play a gig without an overdrive pedal, but I do love my Tube Screamer.
