These are so easy to use. The colors are brilliant and spread so easily with water. I love them. 😍

Quality, Im an acrylic painter & love the ease of use with these. Giving my paintings additional color & softness to the art without the mess of oil's. Will be buying for my artist sister's b-Day coming up! Pigments are great too!

I ordered these pastels to compare with the Caran d'Ache Classic Neocolor II Water-Soluble Pastels. The pastels themselves are similar in size and shape to Sennellier oil pastels—thick and tapered. The packaging was lacking and I was disappointed to find that several of the pastels arrived broken (which was my main reason for returning them). Despite this drawback, I was still able to test their water solubility and blending capabilities. The pastels themselves are very silky when applied to paper, not too soft and not too hard. I wouldn't say they are as soft as true oil pastels, but they are easily applied and have similar (if not the same) softness as the Caran d'Ache Neocolor II pastels. When blended with water, the pigment does not blend as smoothly as the Caran d'Ache Neocolor II pastels and has a very granulated look. Because of the thickness of these pastels, smaller details are not easily achieved.TL;DRI prefer the Caran d'Ache Water-Soluble Pastels over the MUNGYO simply based on the water blending capabilities and level of detail I can achieve.

These pastels are so easy to use, have great saturated colors, creamy, they blend so well, and I am a happy person. They are a great value for the money, they arrived unscathed, they can be applied on most art surfaces. Love them

It's been a long time since using oil pastels. So purchased this set at a great price. I am very satisfied with this set of Mungyo Water-Soluble Oil Pastel Set of 24 - Assorted Colors. Very creamy and dissolves and moves smoothly on 100% cotton watercolor paper. I used it just like a pastel stick and also with water. Colors are vibrant. Please note that I noticed that the greens left some lines, but I used cold press paper and might have applied too much pastel. I did prepare this swatch very quickly also. As you can see the colors are very vibrant and blends nicely as a watercolor.

One of the best oil pastels you are going to find. Sadly they are not available open stuck, but affordable enough to keep buying.Their consistency is the same all throughout the sticks. No nasty surprises. Opaque, smooth. Not gummy at all. Dont smell. Blend and layer amazingly well. Extremelly good buy.

This is an Oil Pastel Aquarelle so they behave like good oil pastels that gets activated when comes in contacted with water.Activated meaning it soluble in water thus you can use it like a water colour, with out all the mess.Carry a water brush pen then you are sorted. Good for on the go sketches.Once you add water people say that it behaves like a gouache, I cannot say as i've never used gouache before so cannot give an opinion on it.I have used Caran Dache's neocolour II aquarelle wax pastels as well, and they are not as soft as an oil pastel, so the Caran Dache ones are good for details and line drawings.Remember that these two are two different products.Mungyo is an Oil Pastel and the Caran Dache Neocolour II is a wax pastels and both are water soluble. This is a very good product for the price and the colours are gorgeous at least for me.

I love mungyo products! I’ve tried their other gallery pastels and all have been good quality.I like the colors in this set for fun paintings, I just wish there were more landscape options. The gray is very nice and has green undertones. These blend OK with water but not at all like my favorite- kingart gel sticks. I wish there were more muted colors and a bigger variety of colors - I would be more impressed- but for the price these make a nice mix media or sketching media.

I am an artist and I thought I would give these oil pastels a go. They are delightful. I can use water or just use as a regular pastel. Great for doing pieces on the go just add strong paper and a watercolor brush. Well made beautiful color. I wish they would have more colors. Well worth the money!

Very soft and creamy. The package arrived rough and only one of them was broken but this is a non-issue for me. Things happen and I don't blame the company. I did a swatch of each of them and I am veey impressed. If you're wondering about how well they work with water, being that they are water solvable, I can tell you it really is. Laying down a light layer of these pastels and going over it with water gives it an appearance of watercolor. This is my favorite part about these pastels. I'm not crazy about using solvents or mediums to thin pastels to get a nice wash or glaze. Most of them burn my eyes pretty bad but with this set water is all ya need. The variety of colors is great and I like the thick/chunky size of the pastels. They also have a pointed tip on them so I can get a variety of line thickness or fine lines. Well worth the money and I'll be making another purchase in the future.
