My wife loves her forage bag and has used it several times gathering various items from the wild. The knife that came with the bag is over-large and cheap. It wouldn't reclose properly after the first time we opened it so she's using a smaller, better crafted Fiskar folding blade.

I use this for harvesting veggies from our garden, which also happens to have some domestic mushrooms. The bag allows airflow and is a good size to cary about a quarter bushel. I like that it comes with a knife and brush to knock the dirt off the root veggies. I plan to take it to the woods to forage for mushrooms which is when the knife should really come in handy.

This bag is PERFECT! Perfect size for harvesting multiple veggies from the garden... Green beans, cucumbers, squash! Perfect size front pocket fits my phone, string and snippers with room to spare. The little knife also perfect. But the favorite part is the the shoulder strap... I put it on my shoulder and I don't even feel it...so comfortable! I put it on before I go to the garden, everything at my fingertips! Can I say it one more time... it is PERFECT!

I ordered the mushroom foraging bag because we live in an area that has large concentrations of morel mushrooms that sell on average between $40 and $60 a pound. I wanted something lightweight and wearable to use while collecting mushrooms. This way, any loose spores can fall out and hopefully regrow. I really like the fact that this bag is collapsable and can easily fold and fit in your pocket. I also appreciate that this includes a mushroom knife. The mushroom knife has an included brush to knock off the dirt before harvesting. The knife blade is really sharp and slices through the fruit easy. The bag is the perfect size for collecting. It's big enough to carry a days worth of collections but not too big to be cumbersome and in the way when collecting. The bag alone is worth the price and the knife is an additional bonus making this a decent value. I love the fact that the bag is multifunctional for any of your wildcrafting or foraging needs. From mushrooms to ginseng and everything in between this bag is a useful tool. Overall, I am happy with my order.

Like I say in the title, the bag seems a little cheaper than I had hoped, but I also do understand that at the current price point, I've gotten a good value. I was hoping the bag would be a bit tougher and more durable (it hasn't ripped, I just feel like it will), especially being a foraging bag, I'll be heading into the woods with it. It could get caught on various different branches, rocks, thorns, etc. and I'm just worried it won't last as long as I want it to. I've taken it out twice, and haven't had an issue yet, but I'm generally careful. As for the knife, I think it's a fairly nice knife. The curved blade is good for cutting mushrooms or foliage, honestly exactly what you need while foraging. The little brush on it is nice as well, helping you brush off bits of dirt from anything you've grabbed, so that hopefully your bag won't get too much dirt inside. I've not really used the measuring bit on the knife, but it would be nice to have if I need to measure something small. Generally, I don't need to measure much of anything, but it's nice to have the option.

This is a really great little foraging kit. It is very well sewn and seems sturdy. It can also hold a lot. The bottom is flat and approximately 5 x 14 inches which allows a fair amount of room for mushrooms or plants. The whole thing can be folded up and tucked into the front pouch for easy and tidy storage. The pouch in the front offers a good amount of room. I have my foraging spade, my phone, and the little knife/brush that came with the kit and there is still plenty of room in the pouch for more. The knife/brush is really nice, too. The brush is soft enough that it shouldn't bruise your mushrooms. The knife blade is nicely curved, making it fantastic for cutting plants. The knife blade snaps firmly into the handle and is held in place very well. Nothing is loose. The handle is a nice wood and it has 4 inches of measurements painted on it so you can quickly measure your finds.I'm really happy with how much thought went into the design of this foraging set. It is really great quality and designed really well. They even gave enough length on the strap so it can be worn around the waist, over the shoulder, or across the chest. They really considered every detail. It is excellent.

This is bag is made of high-quality materials that is both tough and durable. The mesh fabric allowed good airflow while it’s also durable, is water proof, and it doesn’t rip easily. The strap is adjustable so I can get a tight fit but still be comfortable wearing it. The included knife is great for cutting mushrooms and herbs while the brush helped clean it. This bag is versatile as it can hold plenty of items and it can also be used to carry other things, or used as bag for groceries.

This is a nice large size bag. Made with quality materials and very sturdy. Wife uses it for a number of things — pulling weeds, carrying gardening equipment, carry vegetables from her garden, etc. Highly recommend.
