This set is a great set for any fisherman, but particularly for anyone who has some toothy fish in their area, or just doesn’t like handling them.The pliers are well built, designed to cut line (plenty sharp) or open split rings or retrieve a hook. They lock close and spring open, but I have to say the best part is the leash. It comes with a clip and provides enough cord to get to what you need to. I’m just always searching for mine and this solves that problem. You also don’t have to worry about re-holstering or dropping them while handling a fish. The spring has the right about of force too.The fish gripper, unlike many I’ve seen and had, is a really nice size for the average fish. They make most of them like you are landing trophy fish all day and they are usually too big and powerful for common fish to the point you can injure them pretty easily using the bigger ones. This one is just about the perfect size for your average inshore type fish.Overall this is a convenient, portable little set that I am taking with me on my next trip.

Cool kit.Functional.Comfortable.Compact.Lightweight.Does what it says, and it should do it pretty well.Con:The lip tool is nice, but stronger materials, and durability I fear are the issue here.It feels like it will do what it is intended to do, stainless is cool, but anodized hardened aluminum would be better and last a whole lot longer.I recommend this kit for the daily, or avid fisherman it will do what it is intended to do but the lip tool feels to be the weakest link here.All' N All it is a low cost fishing on a budget kit, it does what it claims to do, and it will do what it is intended to for as long as it does.I will update accordingly!
