As an herbalist making professional grade extracts and tinctures This is an absolute necessity, I will be getting the 500 mL set up next."Update" I purchased two sets of the 1000ml and I did purchase one of the 500ml the only problem when I opened the second 1000 mL box the bottom portion of the condenser is broken but I am not giving them a bad review over this for the simple fact that accidents happened and how easy and quick it is to get a replacement shipped out immediately. But they do lose one of the stars until I get the Replacement.

I work in a business where reviews are key. Part of that is fixing issues when they arise. I bought this kit, and love the set up. I noticed the condenser was leaking a small amount of water. Obviously, this was a concern, as it was diluting my solvent. Thus, diluting my end product. I requested an exchange, and received a new item in 2 days, no problem. So while there was a problem initially, it was remedied quickly. That's all anyone should ask. Really like the thickness and overall quality. When I eventually break it, which I no doubt will, I will by this one again.

I was pleasantly surprised with this set. Everything arrived quickly, well-packaged, and intact without a scratch. The pieces are all of very nice quality. All combined it's a pretty tall and wide set-up, so you should double-check that your workspace, ventilation set-up, and stands and clamps are able to handle it.Will this kind of delicate and fragile glassware one is always taking some risk and worried about insufficient padding and breakage during shipping, but I was happy to see that this set was packed with a very good amount of protection.I would have preferred for the flask neck to be 24/x instead of 29/32 to be compatible with other standard size pieces, but it's not a big deal, and one can always use a reducing / connecting adapter. I would definitely have paid mode if the set also included a fritted glass filtering thimble of the appropriate size, or some cellulose, cotton, or paper thimbles, but again, those can be obtained separately and it's not a big deal.

I ordered this once, and the thimble tubing was broken. Returned/replaced it, and the reflux condenser was broken.

As a first time user of apparatus like this I needed an instruction manual which was not included. I'm still researching and am very frustrated by the neglect from the provider.
