Nice Catch for Young Goalies (But Not the Easiest to Put On): N1 Ares Kids Keeper Gloves are 4-Star Gloves. These N1 Ares goalie gloves turned out to be a surprisingly good find for my kid. Here's the goods:Quality Build: Overall, the gloves are well-made and designed specifically for young goalies/hands.Good Grip: The "German Latex palm," (whatever that is) gives these gloves a really good grip on the ball during saves.Putting them on is an Issue: The only snag is that my kid has a lot of trouble getting them on by him/her-self. I have to help or they don't go on at all. Definitely tough for younger kids with less strength to manage independently.Overall:These N1 Ares gloves seem like a solid option for youth soccer goalies. They're well-made, offer a good grip, and should provide protection for young hands. However, if your child is on the younger side, you'll need to help them put the gloves on and off.

Picked this up for my youngest who wants to play keeper, like her big brother. Unfortunately they are too small, even after using a sizing chart we found online. She can get them on, after a few minutes of fighting to stretch them, but they hurt after a while and she asked to take them off and play barehanded. The goalie coach at the camp she attended said they were good starter gloved and provided good finger protection. Tackiness left a little to be desired, but something a young starter goalie probably wouldn't notice. As for durability, he said they'd probably last a season and the kid will probably outgrow them before they became unusable.

I picked these up for the kids playing goalie on the soccer team I am coaching. Great starter set. THey are kids size and very small, but they come with all the padding you need. THey will need to be broken in a bit and my kids needed to wear them out a bit to get better finger range of motion in their little hands. Nice colors, help with visualizing where their hands are from far away and makes instruction of the goalie role easier as a coach. Beginner set and will need to be broken in but a good value for the price and starting set for the local soccer goalie or coach.

We purchased the size 3 based on my son's hand size. The wrist is really tight and it took some effort to get my son's hands through. I was concerned it wasn't going to happen. Once over the wrist, they fit fine. The stitching seems great, but my son was not impressed with the grip. It's not tacky enough for him. Also, just clapping the gloves together, the grip started to chip off. We are concerned about durability.I will update my review as we get into the season and they start getting more use.

My son has recently started playing goalie and had been using cheap gloves we got thinking he'd decide against it the first time he got hit in the face. That did not happen, but he did keep getting his fingers bent back so we decided it was time to get some better gloves. These are well padded and provide good finger support so his fingers are much better now. They're still a little big for him, but once he fully grows into them I think they'll be great for his level.

This pair was very comfortable but hard to get on. I removed the finger supports, but they were hard to pry off. The foam is wearing away very quickly. Even after two uses, the peeling/pocked foam is obvious, and the color is either wearing away or seeping in.
