Good looking, large capacity, easy installation. Packaging was awesome! Inside a bubble wrap bag, that was inside a very sturdy box which was form fit within another sturdy box , which was placed into another box stuffed with recyclable packing material. They must have heeded reviews of goods damaged in shipping. While calling it waterproof is probably not accurate it certainly is designed to shed water and is well built, square and true, well formed with a secure close-fitting lid.

I love the look of my mailbox. It can hold a lot. Only downside is it is a little awkward to reach into because it is so deep.

So, I thought the damage was mostly cosmetic but turns out to be a factor in the lid self closing and the paint chip possibly a future rust issue. See circles in pics. Strange that it was damaged like this because the heavy duty cardboard box was not damaged, and it was inside another cardboard box. Perhaps due to the weight of the mailbox it might have got damaged if the box fell. Or it was damaged during manufacturing. I wasn't going to, but I've decided to return it, maybe exchange it. Maybe I just got unlucky.And yeah, this mailbox is huge!UPDATE, purchased a different colour (Blue) in case a there was a bad batch of black ones. It was in perfect condition. Works as expected and looks beautiful. I highly recommend getting a colour mailbox.Changed from 3-star to 5-stars.

When I received this it’s exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to replace my generic larger size mailbox offered at local store.First, I wanted something different that would stand out. Second, I wanted a mailbox that was larger and fit larger items easily such as magazine and packages that are right around that size (smaller or larger).The mailbox I bought was largest in stock they had. I had to repaint that one 2 times (it’s located on a front porch that is covered.)The color was exactly like the pic. The size was exactly as stated. Very impressive and looks better in person. The quality is so much better than my mailbox. It is large and my husband was worried. We went out to porch and I held it in place —- he said it’s perfect in size. The old mailbox looks too small.Fast shipping too!!Straightforward install.

While I liked the look of this locking mailbox, it went downhill from there. The locking mechanism didn't consistently lock without using a second hand to push the front in so the latch would catch. The metal is a thinner gauge than i expected. With only two screws at the top (and even those were tricky to access) it wouldn't be tight to the house when installed - the entire mailbox rocked up from the bottom when reaching into it. The slot opening is over an inch wide which might be great for catalogs but too wide for security. Installation would be far easier with two people because the screw holes are not keyhole.And if Buy America is your thing, don't let the name fool you - the box says it's made in India. Quick return then off to a box store I go.

I had my house siding repaired and repainted and everyone agreed my old, rusty mailbox needed to go. I previously had one that was long but shallow. I couldn't find one that fit in the old space from any of the local home stores so went online to look. Glad I found this one. First of all, it looks amazing! The pop of blue really stands out and looks nice against the house (and they do have other colors). It's powder-coated outside and inside so I'm not worried about rusting. It's a narrower footprint than the standard mailboxes you can find out there but it's deep. All of my mail will fit including small packages, 8 1/2 x 11" envelopes and even magazines - all without needing to be rolled up or folded.Comes with the screws and anchors but I was drilling into a mounted piece of wood so only needed the screws. Went up in under 5 minutes. Very happy with this purchase and it looks amazing up against my new paint color.

This is a beautiful mailbox but there's a design flaw. The way the lid opens it scrapes against the wall which, I would assume, over time is going to leave marks on the lid. It's a nice solid, very large mailbox though. Unfortunately it wasn't going to work for us so I sent it back.

High quality and large capacity, which really helps with the home deliveries - small boxes or large envelope/bubble packages. The box looks really good from the sidewalk and provides a nice element to the porch; a touch of the past with a modern look and a nice change from the standard mailbox. Love it!
