The instructions are in Chinese (maybe Mandarin?) but you have to lift the lever and rotate it around to get it out of the way of the magnifier. I'm slow, it took me a while to figure it out.

I wish the clippers were a bit wider. It's very hard to get them on to the toenail to cut. But the magnifier and tiny light are terrific! Great idea and with a slight improvement, I'd give it 5 stars!

The light and magnifying glass work great with the clippers.

Clipper portion is standard width and opens wide enough for thick nails. Light is bright enough to clearly see clipper position.

I bought these October 25, 2022 and they just broke a week ago. The actual clippers broke - fell apart.I used these to trim both of my cats nails with. They worked great and I’m now ordering another pair. I looked for a different pair with both a light and magnifier to no avail… so here I am.Honestly I guess I don’t mind spending 12 bucks every 2 years… I do wish there was a better more durable option out there but I haven’t found it , yet.I took off one star because I feel like nail clippers (in themself) should be a lifetime type item. They should be made to withstand the test of time (like your great grandmothers nail clippers were made). I would’ve expected the light to burn out before the actual clippers fell apart.Anyhoo , I need clippers with a magnifying light so … buying again… round 2!With all that said; I can still highly recommend this product - however even with light use (once every 6 weeks on 2 cats); inevitably they will break within a few years. As you can see from the picture; these cats evidently believe they’re in the clear and won’t be getting their nails trimmed any time soon.. BOY ARE THEY WRONG ..MUHAHAHAHA⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These are useless, they don’t clip well. You have to almost bend over and look at it to see through the Magnifier. I should have sent them back I didn’t I’m disabled, and getting things out. It’s not easy.

I usually clip my nails using a desktop magnifying lamp. For toenails, I get myself and the lamp down on the floor. (Hope you enjoyed that image.)"Has anyone invented a clipper with a magnifying light?" I wondered. So I went to amazon and lo, someone had.Unfortunately the clipper itself is not good. It cuts short, hard little snips in a straight line. Because of the "guards" put up one side, you can't slide the clipper on to your nail sideways, which makes it really hard to get a neat cut, especially on the toes.I tried to see if the clipper could be removed from the plastic so that I could put a better quality one in there-- i.e. the kind you get for 99 cents at the supermarket checkout-- but this is not possible. The light and magnifying glass are both of good quality. But because they can't be moved, you have to line up each cut in a straight line between four points: 1. your eyes 2. the light 3. the cutting edge 4. the nail.Since points 2. and 3. are fixed together-- and have to come at the nail straight on, because the plastic guard means you can't slide the clipper in sideways-- you have to get pretty nimble with points 1. and 4. This is easy for some nails but almost impossible for others, in particular the nail on the smallest toe.I'm fairly flexible; at age 55 I can still touch my toes to my nose. (Enjoy that image too.) But I wasn't able to get every nail lined up and visible with this tool.My final gripe is that this thing was packaged, wholly unnecessarily, in far more plastic than it was made out of. So yes, I'm going to ding the manufacturer for whale-choking.I considered returning it but decided to keep it because it is handy for some of my 20 nails and it appears that no one else is making them. If anyone else does decide to make them, a gooseneck light/magnifier and a replaceable nailclipper (or a space for one to add one's own) would be a good idea. And get rid of those pointless side "guards" that make the clipper that much harder to manipulate.

ist Scharf mit Lupe genau das was wir wollten, leider kein Licht dabei und hochwertig geht auch anders. Wird ein paar Monate halten.
