About this item

  • 【Outstanding Optical Spotlight Snoot】 A professional light modifier, this spotlight snoot features a precise optical aspheric lens with 98% light transmission and uses advanced multicoating technology to prevent chromatic aberration, optical aberration, and distortion with minimum vignetting for clean images
  • 【20° Light Gathering Projection Lens】 When using with a bare MS150B LED Video Light, the snoot creates a ø36cm round beam at 3.3ft/1m and increases the illuminance multiple times. Turn the adjustable focus knob by 20° to achieve sharp or blurred edges. The dramatic spotlight effect is perfect for portrait photography, filmmaking, video recording, and stage photos
  • 【Interchangeable Gobos & Color Gels】 16 patterned gobos and 5 color gels provide unique and artistic light effects. 4 way light baffles easily change the light output into triangles, rectangulars, and linear shapes. Separately purchase an aperture to flexibly control beam angles. Note: Gobos have sharp edges, please handle with care
  • 【Lightweight & Portable Construction】 At 3.3lb/1.5kg, the snoot is lightweight and portable. An included carrying bag makes storage, transportation, and protection of this snoot a breeze. Caution: The snoot gets hot after extended use. Allow it to cool completely before handling
  • 【For NEEWER MS LED Video Lights】 Compatible with NEEWER MS Series LED Video Lights with the NEEWER Mount, including MS60, MS60B, MS60C, MS150, MS150B, and MS150C

I just received the Neewer LS-39 Spotlight Snoot with the Bowens mount and it is made exactly as I have come to expect from Neewer…amazingly well! Its light output is wonderful and you can easily blur the edges of the projected image or sharpen them just as easily! The added gels and holder, along with the gobos and holder make this spotlight snoot an absolute must have!!! Thanks Neewer!

There's tons of choices to review when considering an optical snoot. For the longest time I only saw them advertised with Westcott. Neewer is just as good unless you need compete lens exchangeability. I'd buy it again. My only struggle is determining the measurement of the GOBO so I can buy third party GOBO's.

This is a fantastic optical snoot and like all Neewer kit it's very well made. Saying that, it's a beast and is by far the heaviest optical snoot I've ever owned. If you're thinking of purchasing this make sure you have a good sturdy C-stand and a hefty sandbag available.Although this is an expensive item, it does come very well equipped with a set of GOBO's and colour gels so you have everything you need to get started as soon as you've unboxed it. And in regard to the unboxing, the packaging is excellent.I've used this with both continuous LED lights and a 400w flash, although it was much quicker to get the focus right with the continuous lights. Another factor to bear in mind is that this has a fixed lens so the size of the projected image can only be changed by moving the projector snoot closer or further away from the source. Ideally you need a big space to get the most out of the projector if you want large images from the GOBO's. I found that a distance of 3m gave me a projected image of about 1m ii height. Obviously, if you intend to use it solely as a spot light that won't be an issue.

I would give it 4 stars if it includes the aperture control. Can anybody provide me with a link to the aperture control? Thanks

Super easy to use, and produces sharp lines with the focal ring. Plenty of shapes are included with the spotlight to use, so you can get plenty creative with your work.

This is a fantastic snoot that works with bowens mount video lights. There is an optional aperture which I assume means you could even use this for a strobe. The lens quality is high and the image projections are very sharp. The overall build quality and fit and finish are excellent too. This is a very nice piece of equipment. The throw is 20° and it would be cool if it was adjustable but it is a fixed lens so you cannot change it’s through angle although the internal baffles do let you adjust the shape of the light. It’s a fairly specific piece of equipment so I would imagine most people are not going to have much use for it.But if you’re looking to get special lighting effects for studio photography or even film this will do the trick. It enables you to project colors and patterns of light onto your subject or background. It comes with numerous kobo patterns but you could also make your own if you were crafty. It comes with a case to keep everything together which I very much appreciate. All in all this is a really nice set up for doing lighting effects. You can get even more combinations if you combine it with the effects that your light is capable of.
