If you’re gonna get handles for your camera cage these are not the one for you. No matter how tight you fasten them the point where the arm meets the handle will twist because it’s fastened by one Allen screws. That screw is also easily stripped. For clarification the handle has 3 parts; The main handle, the arm that’s connected to the handle, and the screw that fastens to the cage. It’s the screw that fastens the arm to the handle that twists. Always buy a handle that has two fasteners to the arm and the cage.

These are great side grips for my rig cage that I use for my Sony A6400. This is suppose to be used for a phone cage for your iPhone through Neewer, but these little handles are so well built and strong they can be used for a bigger camera cage. And they have the capability to where you can change the handles in different directions so they are not permanently locked in which is another added bonus that I needed. Just make sure you secure them with the L wrench you're given to tighten them and your good. I love these handles because you can make your images and videos come out more stabilized and you can portrait or pan across with ease. You can also move them up and down on the camera rig to make it easier for you to access your camera buttons if you need to or to have more space in between if you need to switch your hands at the last minute. I have smaller hands and they are perfect for me and easier to hold. I do think you can get by with these if you have larger hands but I do think Neewer should consider making these same smaller handles again but just a bit longer for bigger hands so a person can have more of a grip and leave them as a small and large option for buyers to choose from in the future. But the original purpose of these being small is because they are suppose to be for the Neewer phone cage for your iPhone which is already smaller and lighter for a thinner phone in comparison to a mirrorless camera. I like my camera space having a very small and light set up so this works out perfect for me and I can just throw it in my camera bag and go. I highly recommend these for those who felt the other handles are too big and heavy and wanted something a little bit smaller and lighter to use but still have a very strong dependable build that won't break. These are great for that! Check out my pictures to see how this can be used on a bigger rig and how you can adjust the handles! Keep your L wrench In your camera bag if you ever need to lock these down while adjusting and your set!

I don't have a smartphone right, but I do have a smallrig camera rig, actually - I have 2, and I have a range of handles. Are these handles as useful as the usual side/top handles for a rig? No, that that's because these are slimline so they don't have mounting points/cold shoe/etc to add other devices, but they are still very useful. The mixture of Neewer and Smallrig handles I have are amazing, but if you want something small (maybe for someone with small hands, or someone who wants a top handle but minimum weight, then these are perfect.I imagine on a smartphone right these would be amazing as two side handles allowing you to grip the phone and keep is steady, but they also work as dual handles on a camera rig if you want slim or light handles. The 1/4" screws mean you could mount these to a lot of other things, I don't think I'll need to mount lights directly to a handle, but if you have a small LED light (like an Aputure MC Mini) then you could easily screw it onto a handle like this. So, in a nutshell: I wont be replacing my camera rig handles with these, but these aren't meant for camera rigs - but I can foresee that they would be useful for my camera rig in some circumstances. I am thinking about getting a smartphone rig and these slim and light handles would be perfect for that - much better than my chunky and weighty camera side handles!

After having tried the Neewer quick-release cage handles, which I didn't like, I was excited to get these as they seemed simpler, lighter, and really quite sufficient for my needs. But when they arrived, I was surprised to find that there is no indexing pin next to the 1/4-20 screw to keep the handles from rotating on the side of the cage.Maybe these were designed to go with a different cage, one that has a recessed slot into which the handle mount sits to keep it from raotating? I don't know. I was hoping to use it with my Neewer iPhone 15 Promax cage, but no amount of tightening was able to keep the handle from rotating (and thus loosening).I am going to try to get a local machinist to add pins in for me. (Wish me luck)Another negative point, which applies to all of Neewer's 360 degree rotating cage handles: the handle rotation cannot be locked out. I find this annoying because I find the rotation resistance insufficient. It's nice to be able to rotate the handles, but I don't like having them rotate on me while I'm actually shooting. Either some adjustability or a lock-out function would be great.

I'm a huge fan of the NEEWER Smartphone Video Stabilizer Grip. For less than thirty dollars, you can drastically improve the quality of your videos. The large surface and spaced grips allow you far more stability and control than just trying to hold onto your slippery phone. The grips can be positioned to use Stabilizer Grip as a stand or easel. My one issue with the Stabilizer Grip is that it does not work well in portrait mode. I have added a pair of NEEWER Stabilizer handles to address that issue when shooting in portrait mode. The grips match the industry standard ¼ inch threaded holes and mount securely on the cage by hand-tightening the knurled thumbwheel or using the provided hex key for a secure fit. It is easy to rotate the handles to use on a desktop or for macro photography. The NEEWER handles are made of aluminum and are strong without being overly heavy. The maximum weight is 1KG, and no phone is that big and heavy (yet). These grips look and feel like pro-quality gear.I've ordered the NEEWER phone cage for my new iPhone 15 Pro Max, and these grips will be mounted before I use the phone. My one quibble is the size of the handles. I have very large hands and would have preferred a slightly larger grip. But that would have increased the size and weight of the handles, and I feel this size will fit most people's hands.Like all NEEWER gear, these handles are a minimal investment in more professional video.

I now use my smartphone for the vast majority of my photo and video shots, including night shots. I have a smartphone holder. These handles fit in well with any holder that has standard tripod connections. I found that using them I could really increase the stability in my shots especially for longer exposure or night shots. These are well made, they grip well and look like they will last for a lifetime.
