The title is misleading, the mic does work, just doesn't work with my video camera, I need a powered mic. Took me a little bit but I figured out a way to make it work. It work with my tablet and if you have a 3.5mm plug in on your cell phone it should work. Eventually I'll get a powdered mic for my video camera.

I use this for multiple activities and this is amazing for all of them! It’s very directional and the wind cover stops the wind from being able to be heard at all. It’s very directional so if you want a microphone that can hear sounds from all angles then this probably isn’t for you, though if you want a directional mic then this is 100% for you!

This microphone is of poor quality. It fails to capture audio when connected to my camera, instead producing a buzzing sound. However, when connected to a computer, a faint audio signal can be heard above the buzzing, suggesting the presence of electrical feedback. Don't waste your money or time.

I waited too long to try this mic, now I find it doesn't work.I've tried it with my video camera, no sound.I tried with a high gain guitar amplifier and it has almost no output.Not happy

he Neewer Video Microphone offers decent performance, but it comes with a couple of drawbacks.On the downside, I noticed that it can be relatively noisy, which can be a bit distracting in certain situations. Additionally, the microphone is highly directional and requires being quite close to the subject to capture clear audio, making it less ideal for capturing audio from a distance.Moreover, it tends to pick up a lot of room noise, affecting the overall audio quality.However, if used in a controlled environment and positioned appropriately, it can still deliver satisfactory results.Overall, the Neewer Video Microphone is a decent on-camera option, but it may not be the best fit for every recording scenario. I use it for my shoots when a lav or boom shotgun doesn't apply as well. 3/5.

Il microfono è discreto e fa correttamente il suo lavoro.Utile per fotocamere di fascia bassa che presentano il jack per mic e che hanno uno scarso microfono interno.Corpi macchina di 600 euro in sù, anche non troppo recenti (esempio canon eos m50 mark II) hanno già un microfono integrato di qualità pari se non superiore a questo NEEWER con l'unico svantaggio di non avere la possibilità di attaccare la spugnetta per filtrare un pò di rumore dall'esterno.Sicuramente è rivalutato l'uso del microfono (in positivo) se usato per uno smartphone, ma per gli accessori che ricevi in dotazione , non credo che sia stato concepito principalmente per quell'uso.Quindi consigliato per chi ha corpi macchina vecchi / per chi lo usa con smartphone.

Item was as per ad. Good value for money. Only negative is that the mic holder is very flimsy and does not hold the mic straight. Haven,t yet had time to test sound quality.

I sometimes have a low buzz which is easily removed with a filter and may not be an issue from this mic. The shock mount does not prevent major rumbles when there is quick movement of touching the camera. The mic picks up a good distance from on top of the camera. Can sound amazing with some filtering and eq.
