My son is almost 18 and profoundly autistic. He wears headphones more for the pressure than for the noise reduction, though they work for both. We find these to be more user-friendly for him because it doesn't have all the metal pieces that slide and they're easy for him to put on independently. He can put the headband behind his head, too, if he chooses. They fit his big head better than other styles, too. He has a tendency to accidentally snap them in half occasionally due to his size and strength, but we are used to that and just keep a few pairs on hand. Good deal for the price.

WE USE RGESE IN MRI.THESE MACHINES ARE VERY LOUD AND EAR PROTECTION IS A MUST. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY METAL PARTS AND DO A GREAT JOB BLOCKING OUT THE NOISE. THE PRICE IS GREAT, BUT BE CAREFUL. THEY ARE EASY TO SNAP IN HALF IF A BIG CHOOCH YANKS AT THEM TOO HARD

Fixed size, comfortable ear cups, pretty good sound deadening. I wear a size 7 3/8 hat and find these to be very comfortable. There's better ones on the market, but adding disposable foamies under them, even installed not quite correctly, does a great job.

I'm in my mid 60s and I can hear a lot of things others my age can't. I attribute this to having always been careful when it comes to exposing myself to noise. There are times I almost think I have hyperacusis, which is an extreme hypersensitivity to sound. I react to loud noises almost as if they caused physical pain.These headphones are a good example of how careful I am: I wear them only around twenty seconds a day, when I'm using my noisy Magic Bullet blender.These headphones don't block out all the sound, just enough to take the edge off. I can't vouch for how comfortable they'd be to wear for a long time. My guess would be maybe not very: They're tight. That, for my needs, is a good thing. If you're going to mow a lawn or use a chainsaw for a couple of hours, they'd be great. If you're going to wear them on a factory floor for eight hours a day while also wearing glasses or safety goggles, you might want to consider earplugs instead.Oh, I didn't expect to get two pairs for this price. Considering my age and how long I use them, I doubt I'll wear out a pair. But it's fine with me if I have a backup on hand.

They are the very model of a modern major low-cost product. They feel almost toylike, and the foam insulation is barely there. Certainly not pro quality. But I can't complain too much, given the low price. They do muffle the sound, and they seem semi-durable. Light and comfortable. Good for kids.
