This is a good quality plug that installs very easily and makes a nice safe connection. I can easily plug other cords into it, and I am confident this plug will last many years. The instructions were easy to follow, the parts went together easily, and I had no problem installing this to make a generator cord.

The plug would be suited to a generator cord or shop appliance where handling is not very frequent. However, for something like a job site or RV shoreline, it does not seem to me like it would be durable enough for that level of use; for example, the index notch to keep the shield and core aligned is very shallw and where this is a twist to lock connector, there is going to be a lot of torque force applied. The terminals are marked and the under side of the connector has a line of green paint around the ground lug and some white paint around the neutral. Although the listing suggests the hot termianls will be brass colored, all of the lug screws are nickel colored, so attention to molded in markings is important to ensure each leg is correctly terminated. The wire lug jaws are of ordinatry build, and will deform a bit under torque in my experience. The stress relief for the cable jacket is also very basic. At the price point, though, it is a very good value as long as the use is moderate.

This is a nice connector at a good price. It's ETL listed, so you don't have to worry about it being unsafe or illegal. The four 10 gauge wires I used fit easily into the holes, and I didn't have to fight to install it. There is even a rubber grommet that goes over the wires to keep moisture and dust out of the connector. There isn't much else to say about it other than to make sure you read the manual and abide by it. The manual tells you to connect red to X and black to Y, which is different from normal. This means that L1 from your wall will be connected to the red wire while L2 from your wall will be connected to the black wire. It really makes little difference since they can be reversed, and I'd recommend simply doing what the manual says.
