Because it is a brand new tank many suppliers tend to be quite pleased to exchange it with no questions. No transport cap included so you may incure $15 or so extra. All and all with no time to run around it was a worthwhile expense.

Local Airgas traded without a problem for mig gas mix. They said tank couldn’t say China and had to have DOT number stamped on tank etc. They wanted about $400 for a tank here! Stupid shortages. Glad found this and worked out.

This bottle is DOT but what was received was not what was pictured. What I received was a bottle that had the threads on the body for a protective cap to protect the valve. The supply shop that exchanges these would not take it without the cap unless I paid an extra charge for a cap for the bottle. The bottle in the image is a type of bottle that does not utilize a cap. Just an FYI in case anyone is getting this to try and exchange, Also Airgas doesn't carry a 60-size bottle like these so you'll have to pay an upgrade fee to go up in size or downgrade to a 40 when doing the exchange,
