I have had my eye on a duvet like this for 4 years; i finally splurged and spent some savings to get this.This duvet is a dream. It is a lot thinner than I had thought, however it is so much warmer than it looks. I love the weight of it when I'm sleeping.I went with wool because I have a cat and a down duvet seemed like it would have been a nightmare during mandatory biscuit time.I have not yet washed it, and given it's size I reckon it's going to need a couple cycles on both of my machines to get it fully clean. A good cover will keep it pretty fresh for a good long time. The blanket does have a strange scent out of the bag. Thankfully I got it delivered on a nice day so I hung it outside for a couple of hours and the shipping scent seemed to dissipate.The only downfall I've found, with the queen sized one at least is that it only has ties at each corner. This leaves the top and bottom middle to kind if float around which kind of irritates me. I plan on sewing at least one button at the tip middle of the duvet so my cover will be more attached.

Hot sleepers, this is the blanket you’re looking for!!! It’s been keeping me warm throughout the night (aka not so thin that you can feel the cold air coming in through the blanket) and I’m not waking up every 3 hours soaked with sweat like the many duvet/blankets I’ve tried leading up to this find. I don’t mind the crinkly sound it makes (I think it reminds me of a blanket from my grandparent’s house), and I love how it ‘tents’ over me instead of draping and hugging like a second skin. I’m finally getting better sleep and feeling the difference after one week. Give it a try… I’m hoping this is your needle in the haystack, too.

Another review mentioned the tag attached to the blanket says it's made of polyester. This must be a mistake. The fabric of the blanket is a nice cotton. I opened it up to check the fill, it's wool.It's not suitable for winter but it's great for warmer times of year. It's just too thin. I plan on getting a second one to double up for the winter.

After seeling an Australian wool duvet in stores and how popular they were, I knew I had to get one and I do not regret this purchase. When paired with a nice cotton duvet cover, this duvet feels so luxurious. Unlike with polyester comforters, I don't find myself sweating nastily in the middle of the night. Instead, the duvet keeps me warm in the winter without waking up soaked in the middle of the night. The shell does crinkle a bit in regards to sound, but that doesn't bother me.
