Any sailor with a Universal Diesel engine should know that glow plugs do not have to be manufactured by or for Westerbeke. The Universal glow plugs are listed at over $70—7 times the price of the NGK. I’ve purchased the NGK plugs before and they work just fine.

I ordered 3 and received two correct NGK sparkplugs and one random ford OEM sparkplug that I'll have to return. Thankfully I only really needed one.

After going to the Kubota dealer and getting some glow plugs which didn't fit, I decided to try Amazon. These fit perfectly and make cold starts easy.

Fits the Yanmar 3TMN72 found in the Polaris Ranger Diesel, just need to shorten the top terminal stud for clearance. Far less expensive than the Yanmar or Polaris part, well worth the effort.

Had to bend the thread shaft on the center cylinder to get the wire on and not have it shorted but that is normal for this engine. Between replacing with these and adding a glow plug relay she starts in the cold MUCH better now.

This was advertised for a Kubota Z600 motor, but it didn't fit mine. More research yielded a different size, so i bought when I found out these were not correct for the motor. The correct size for my motor was the Y-106-1, also purchased on Amazon. I finally got the job done and gave the incorrectly advertised glow plugs to a marine mechanic friend with the hopes that he can use them for "something"...

Replaced 30 year old plugs on my boat, a Catalina 30 with Universal M25XP engine which is a Kubota D950. They fit and work perfectly, engine starts right up. Needed to remove intake manifold to access the plugs.
