Works well. I would say the pictures are an accurate depiction of what you are going to get in terms of light output. It's a lot like a recessed light. The area 8-10 feet below will be well lit. A lot of the lighting from this product comes from the LEDs built in the base, not the bulb, so a lot of the light is directly below the lamp the you just get the bulb projecting outward.The solar charging seemed to work very well and charged with minimal light outside. The wiring was the normal water resistant screw connectors used for outdoor decorative lighting. Motion detection worked well.My only complaint about it is you absolutely need the remote control to set the mode to be on at dusk or only come when motion is detected so you will want to mount the remote somewhere on a wall where it won't be lost or something. The only option on the light itself is an on/off button, which you probably can't reach once it is hung up.

If you have shed or a pergola without any power outlets nearby and would like some light in there, this is the set to get. Installation is as easy as you'd expect. Oddly, it comes with concrete anchors for the solar panel no wood screws. The light itself does not come with any hooks or anything else to hold it by the handle. This wasn't a problem at all for me as I have plenty of screws and screw-in hooks, but just be aware that this set does not come with all the hardware you may need.The light itself is also a little odd in a sense that it has built-in LED lights but also comes with an E26 LED Edison-style bulb. It all works as expected, though and the result isn't terribly bright on the highest setting. Still it's a vast improvement for a completely pitch-black shed. On the lower setting, it is quite dim indeed.I found the remote control to be a neat addition.I only end up using it very very sparingly - maybe a few minutes every other week or so - so the battery life is definitely sufficient for that. Unfortunately, I can't speak for any extensive use situations.

The shed light arrived quickly, and it was well packaged. I’m not sure if I lost some of the mounting hardware, but I had to go use hardware that I had in the garage to attach this. The attachment bolts that were included were just a bit heavy duty for what I had in mind. The line for power between the solar cell and the light is plenty long and it was easy to string through a shed roof and into the shed. One end of the connectors was a bit malformed, but light pressure on the threads was able to reform it and allow the two parts to marry up.The light itself is not dazzling, but sufficient to rummage through the shed for items I’m looking for. If I was working on a project and looking for high detail, I would say this light might be insufficient for that. The remote seems to work well, and I prefer to use it on its first setting to remain off until motion is detected and then to return to off. The other setting for low power, then high-powered during motion also worked, but I am not in need of constant lighting within the shed.All in all for the price I believe this is a very good value. It’s been hard to find a detachable solar cell with a good distance of wire to connect to the light at this price point. If I notice any issues with the light during use, I will update my review. For now, I do highly recommend this light, as long as you’re not planning to read by it or need bright light for high detail.

This was exactly what we needed!We bought a 122 year old farmhouse, with an old barn out back. It used to have electricity to it, but no longer does. It is dark and creepy in there, even during the day. We want to clear out all the junk left in there, but it was so dark and dangerous, with stuff everywhere, that we were having to use flashlights to make our way through. We set up this solar light hoping to fix this issue.The cord is long enough so that we can have the solar collector mounted to the roof of the barn overhang, and ran the cord in through a window cut out, and we were able to hang the light in the center (almost) of the barn.It has a few different settings. We chose for it to stay on dim, unless motion is detected, and then it pops on to bright.We tested it it after dark, and I was amazed at how much it lit the space, even on dim. On bright, obviously, it was even better.It doesn’t light like an overhead fluorescent , or incandescent bulb, but we didn’t expect it to. We were simply hoping for enough light to guide us through the barn without smashing into stuff, and we got more than we hoped for.I can clearly see all the junk lying in there now, that we need to haul away! It comes with an Edison - type lightbulb, and a remote control for settings, and mounting screws and anchors, as well as zip-tues.Oh, also, the solar collector tilts, and moves, to allow you to get the most sunlight access.I could not be happier with this product! It solved a real problem we were dealing with!
