. Nitrogen regulator hvac, is a durable brass piston designed diaphragm nitrogen regulator. Delivery Pressure is 0-600PSI. Great for brazing, soldering, welding, purging and pressure testing air conditioning and refrigeration systems, filling shock absorbers, and may many other uses. A nitrogen regulator basically reduces the highly pressurized gas or liquid from the tank into a more usable form. Without a nitrogen regulator, you wouldn’t be able to control the flow of the liquid from the pressurized tank and all of it would be released at once as a result of the high pressure.Regulator has a CGA580 inlet connection, and 1/4 inch male flare outlet connection, self re-seating relief valve (not designed to protect downstream system) and easy to read 2 inch gauge. Gauge 0-4000 PSI. For smooth & accurate delivery pressure adjustment there is a large brass Tee Handle with stainless steel pressure adjusting screw and regulator bushing that prevents galling. Maximum inlet pressure is 3,000psi.

Worked well for my compressed nitrogen tank. Note that it won't hold pressure pass the tank valve for a long time, so make sure to have another valve between it and a system you are pressure testing (for instance on another gauge or manifold).

This nitrogen regulator was bought to replace a name brand one that died. I've used it twice already to dry charge two different heat pump units to check for leaks. I only went to 400psi, and the gauge pressure registered on the regulator matched the reading on my gauges exactly. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the name brand, but so far, so good!

The pressure on the output gauge exactly matches the gauge on my manifold set. The handle is much bigger and easier to turn than some of the similarly priced alternatives on Amazon. The regulator was able to go the full range from 0psi up to 500psi when it's relief valve goes off.
