I tried a few avocado slicers and returned for various reasons. This slicer is well made, easily slices the avocado and removes the pit.

I had just bought this and only hand washed it prior to using it. The other side cut the avocado skin but when I went to slice, the tool broke off and ended up cutting my hand. Waste of money 🙁

While it functioned well for almost a year, today the scoop/slicer part broke away from the handle while scooping. Now I see that several other customers had the same break. I do not recommend this product.

Received as a Christmas stocking gift and loved it! After 4 months of use it broke at the welds and is not useable.

One tool does the cutting slicing and de-pitting. Easy to handle fast and effective. This was delivered very quickly and I am happy with the purchase.

We bought this as a one-tool-fits-all when it comes to preparing avocados. Step one is to cut the avocado in half but this device couldn't cut through the skin! I had to use a regular knife. The pit remover worked great, just poke and twist, and then slide against the edge of something to remove it. You never have to touch the pit, which is nice because they are slimey and then you have to clean your hand. Step three is to slice out the meat from the half shell, and this tool worked great. One other nice thing about this tool is that it is big enough to handle easily (which means it requires more storage space in the drawer).Because the knife didn't work I would have given it a 3 but I've had other avocado tools that didn't work as well so I upped the score by one point. One of the other tools I had, had plastic slicing edges in it. They worked almost always well, sometimes leaving a few bits stuck in the edges, but I had to throw it away because it got too near the drying coils in the dishwasher and melted.
