This really cleans your shoes especially if it’s muddy out! Really nice then you just rinse this off with hose comes really clean.

unfortunately this mud mat is not ideal for the industrial strength glue that is our yard mud. living in south texas we have some thick compacted clay dirt that turns into a paste when it rains. your boots turn into katamari balls, picking up everything it touches: leaves, sticks, stones, small animals, etc. this mat does not seem to have stiff enough bristles to dislodge any of the mud or debris. best for people with normal mud. material otherwise seems quality and the mat has been easy to use, no slipping around on our concrete patio.

This scraper works well for caked-on, wet mud and grime but not so good for dirt in the grooves of a shoe or boot. The rubber nubs just can't go down deep enough to get to those grooves in a shoe. For that you need a boot scrubber with bristles. I still like it and I keep it outside near the entrance to our front door. It is really easy to hose off and/or bang out the dirt that it collects. I pair it with water-hog doormats and it helps to catch a lot of crud before it comes into the house. So overall, good for people out and about on city streets and sidewalks but only okay for those out in the yard or garden.

Nice heavy rubber mat with molded fingers/nubs to scrub the sides and bottoms of shoes and boots. Flat, sits on the floor or ground. I got this to keep on our back deck to clean off shoes and boots before coming inside. There is also a bristle door mat close by to scrub out the small crevices that many shoes have molded in their sole. Can be screwed to the floor via holes in the bottom, but not needed since one foot stands on the scraper as you clean off the other foot, holding it in place. If you have shoes or boots with heavy caked on dirt or mud, the stuff scraped off has no where to go but onto the mat, where it will cake up the bottom nubs and require rinsing off or knocking off to continue working. The is best for light dirt and mud, rather than heavy encrusted dirt and mud. On shoes with lots of small grooves and crevices in the sole, these nubs will not penetrate like a scraper using bristles. The best use may be to pre-clean shoes and then to use a bristle door mat to scrub out those small crevices and grooves. On my back deck it can be knocked against the side of the deck to knock off excess. We also have a garden hose handy too. Well made, good for light dirt and mud.

Good shoe cleaning unit at a good price. The hard rubber teeth do a better job at cleaning particles off the shoe bottoms than the bristle and brush units do!

Works really well on boots and shoes. I like that it's heavy enough that it sits on a concrete walkway without shifting. Easy to pick up and hose off to clean.
