Purtroppo il prodotto è di scarsa qualità, infatti la batteria dura pochissimo, meno di quella che credevo esaurita. Peccato non aver letto prima le recensioni di altri acquirenti.

I watched the included DVD several times, including the part where the old battery is disconnected from the circuit board, seemingly by a little prying with the same tool used to pry everything else off, including the battery itself, (which, yes, was glued down, and came off for me with a screw driver). Now when I tried to disconnect the battery, which is plugged into a socket on the board, as shown in the picture, I got the whole socket (2). This left the bare leads for the battery (1) on the board, rendering my Garmin dead--I am not that good at re-soldering microscopic parts. Later I tried to separate the battery "plug" from the "socket", just to see if I could do it. Darn hard, and certainly not using the technique/tool in the video. I complement other reviewers who seemingly had no trouble with disconnecting the old battery--maybe my 810 was different, older, (?) My one star is based on a very prompt refund upon returning the kit.

Bought this to replace the battery in my 4 year old Edge 810. Install was easy and tools provided were pretty good. Took my "new" old Edge out for a long ride, after three hours I was already down to 27%, that is worse than the old battery that I replaced. Not going to work for me, money wasted.

Everything looked great, All tools necessary where included and video was easy to follow. They do not tell you to glue the battery down even though the original one is. This results in a rattle that will drive you crazy if you use an extended mount. The deal killer is that I only get a 4 1/2 hour charge, that does not even get me through some rides in their entirety.

I bought a new battery for my Garmin 810 to prepare for a two day, 180 mile ride. I expect approximately 15 hours of runtime on my original battery but had noticed that it wasn't lasting as long as I liked so I decided to replace it. I have no issues with ordering or receiving the package. The tools that come with the battery are definitely useful. However, I noticed that the new battery is only rated 1000nAH/3.7W. These values are slightly lower than the original battery. I compared the battery power remaining during a 1 hour trainer ride and had 85% battery remaining on the old battery and 83% remaining on the new battery meaning the new battery would run out much quicker that the original battery. I followed the directions on the CD and did need a small precision screwdriver to help remove the GPS circuit board. The original battery had an adhesive applied to the underside, securing it to the bottom of the GPS unit and the speaker wire. This made removing the original battery difficult. The NewPower99 battery did not have any adhesive and would rattle around slightly in the GPS unit when it was shook. Also, the NewPower99 battery power leads were much longer than the original battery requiring extra care while routing in order to not break or crimp the wires. This would be a good replacement for a completely failed battery but not if the original battery has some life left.

I received a battery for my Garmin 810 from NewPower99, and just before in the process of installing it when I noticed that one of the three wires that attaches to the battery was frayed. Only about half the wires strands were still attached. I emailed the company about the problem and asked how I should handle the return, and got a response within an hour telling me to dispose of the battery, they would send a new one out right away, which they did. Now that's customer service.I installed the new battery using their excellent video and tools. Requires a little delicacy, but not that much. I have some nice magnifying loupes which were helpful. The old battery was marked 1,100 milliamps which concerned me because this battery was only 1,000. Probably would be nice to have the extra power, but this was still a great deal. The original battery was two years old. The Garmin had been on many rides in the hot sun where the temperature reading on the internal thermometer was over 100 degrees. Of course heat is the enemy of lithium batteries, so I assumed it had degraded that battery. Nevertheless it was still working, so I was afraid that I shouldn't mess with it, you know "if it ain't broke....". I shouldn't have worried, because this works great. The old battery would get about 10% an hour. So if you started at a full charge after a 4 hour ride you would have 60% power or a 10 hour run time. The new one uses 6.5% an hour for a 15+ hour run time. A 50% improvement! If your 810 is getting old, you probably should just replace the battery.
