If you are reading this review, and I’m betting you are, you likely have one or more important pieces of gear that require these popular Sony-type batteries. I rely on them to power several of my favorite video lights, such as the Viltrox Sprite 15B as well as the Viltrox monitor I require for location video production. I need to know I have enough batteries to get me through most any shoot, so when I can add them to my kit this affordably it makes me a happy shooter. Over the years I have had to deal with the inconvenience of charging a variety of batteries with their different, but often similar-looking, chargers. These NP-F550 batteries take the hassle out of keeping batteries charged and checking their status. USB-C power sources are everywhere, and that is all I need to charge these. With a built-in USB-C power input, charging these NP-F550 batteries couldn’t be more convenient. And checking the charge status is equally brilliant in its simplicity. Integrated into the body of each battery is a four-segment LED battery meter. When a USB power source is plugged into the battery all four LEDs light up. The number of LEDs illuminated in green indicates the percentage of battery capacity available. Each of the four LEDs represents 25%. So, for example, three green LEDs shows the charge is at 75%. The remaining LEDs that are not glowing green turn red, making a quick read of the available power even easier. Adjacent to the four LEDs is a momentary contact button. When the battery is not being charged, simply hold the button down to illuminate the four LEDs, giving you a visual indication of the battery status. For their incredible convenience, mixed with affordability, this pair of NP-F550 batteries easily earns a 5-star rating!

Purchased 26 days ago, battery already no longer charges from USB-C port. Unfortunate as I didn't bring a NPF charger on a quick destination shoot and believed I could have used USB-C as my charging option, the reason why it was purchased to begin with compared to other options.

These are a good value for the money and necessary to keep on hand as spares since Lithium batteries give very little warning of impending charge depletion

I use this on a device that doesn't draw a whole lot of energy so I can't really speak for the capacity.I am able to charge this with my Macbook pro chargers. It can power a device and be charged at the same time.Really happy with this as it saves me from carrying around yet another charger.
