I purchased these to wear while making the Narrows River Walk at Zion National Park. My son recommended them. The NRS wet shoe seemed well designed for this type of walking against the currents and over river stones. They provide great ankle support, and the soles gave me overall balance and comfort. My son said kayakers wear a similar wet shoe such as the NRS.

Very pleased with the NRS Comm-3: has kept my feet dry (so far!); good traction on rocks, sand and mud, very supportive fit around heel and ankle, and so comfortable that I don't want to take them off when done paddling.
