I know a bit about probes and when I seen the Oakton branding I assumed it was good. I have seen a few of these with other branding for much less money...

Compatible with my Oakton PC 450. Got at a great value. Perfect for field work. Lasted 9 months before replaced, which is on par with other, more expensive options.

I only needed it a few times and like most units it needed much calibration and after that it needed much testing and after that it needed much fresh solution and after purchasing various brands of much solution in order to test which ones are most reliable , I finally gave up and just went with a fake reading thank you.

Using this probe on an Apex aquarium controller in the sump of the system. Had to calibrate the sensor twice before the reading was accurate, however, after installing it worked well. Seems well constructed, but I did notice that the cable is slightly thinner than other probes. Can't beat the price for a quick PH reference for my aquarium.

This product, even after 3 point calibration with temp consideration, is completely inaccurate. Don't buy, your solution WILL be off and not by a little. You have been warned. Luckily, I have a good ph meter to compare this to.

The picture shows a slider to close the breathing hole on the probe the one you send has a rubber plug and it sucks

This is an inexpensive pH probe from Oakton. I purchased it for a new Acorn 5 that I purchased recently as it didn't come with one. The probe works as expected. It comes with instructions and is easy to install on the meter.
