I ordered this thinking that one of my existing notebooks would fit it. My notebook's page dimensions were really close to 5.5" x 8" that the description states. Unfortunately, my notebook is way too large for this cover. I tried two other notebooks and they were all too large too.I looked on Amazon for a notebook to use in this. There are some that are listed as 5.5" x 8" and they are military themed. So perhaps this is a military logbook thing? (Edit: After researching it appears to be called "Green Book") It feels like the largest size that a notebook should be to fit inside the flaps is 7.5" so this feels a little all over the place.Either way, this is an ok-quality notebook cover. I like that it can hold pens on the outside and can be decorated with patches. I'm hoping that I will come across a notebook that fits this. If I had a notebook that I KNEW for a fact this would fit, would I pay $15 for this? Probably not. Maybe wait for it to go on sale.Update: I had a friend give me an army "green book" which it appeared that this product was designed for. Even that army green book is too large for this. So it is very unclear what this product is meant to fit!

I like that this is a snug fit, although it does seem to be stitched to the exact same size as my green book instead of slightly bigger for an easier fit. It's minor and doesn't interfere with fit, if anything it ensures a tight fit. The Velcro on the cover is well placed and is perfect size for a name tape, rank, and then a moral patch. The pen holders are well placed and don't get in the way of anything else on the cover either which is nice. I would recommend these for anyone wanting to get a cover for their green books.
