I'm not sure what's on my disc, but it came like this. It looks sort of like mold. I tried cleaning it a bit but it only took a little bit of it off.

Bought this for my son to practice with -- he did discus for his middle school's track & field team this year (his first time doing track & field). He used this to train 3 times a week, for two months. He threw it mostly on grass, and it shows no sign of wear or deteriation.
